Something I just noticed about PayPal...

Hey Guys

Do you remember the days when PayPal wouldn't let customers make a credit card purchase if they entered an email address that was tied to a PayPal account? They made them use their PayPal account to buy.

The way round it was to enter an email address that was not tied to any PayPal account - they could then go ahead and pay by credit card.

Well, that seems to have changed.

At the weekend, I was buying something online. When I reached PayPal and entered my email address, it told me that there was a PayPal account tied to that address and asked me if I wanted to pay from the account or continue with the card purchase. I continued with the card purchase and it all went through smoothly without any impact on my PayPal balance.

Maybe it's been like this for a while but, thinking about it, I've realised it's a few months since I had any enquiries from customers on this issue so maybe they just sneaked it in quietly.

Cheers,

Neil

Yea, they have allowed that for awhile. But if you have a negative balance on your PayPal account, I wonder if it would still allow you to do that. I would assume it only lets you do that if your account is in good standing.
