Hijacking Youtube Traffic -- Please Critque

Hey Folks

Imagine I have a product on installing wood floors, and I want some extra traffic so I look for people with youtube videos on Installing Wood floors and I have them put my link in their description, in exchange for some money.

Is this a good strategy?

If they are videos that get 1000 views a day, what drives their traffic? Does more views on youtube = higher ranking in youtube?

Also, if I have them edit the video and put my domain ON the video, will that screw up their rankings?

What about a pop-up bubble on the video? Will that alter the rankings?

Please fill me in if you can...

    The point of this forum is to ask questions exactly like this, so ask all you want.

    I'd say yes it is a very good strategy if you can do it.
    The best way is to contact the video owner and offer them a commission on each sale. To do this, you will need to find a way to be able to track which sales come from which video (I know in clickbank you can have a tracker ID, so for .eg. you could make it the same as the video users youtube name).

    There's a way to get a live link on youtube? All I've been able to get is text. DailyMotion has live links.

    Yeah if you do http:// + domain it will turn into a live link.

    Anyone else have feedback? I guess my main question is : If I put pop-up things or re-edit their video to put a domain-watermark on it -- will this screw up the videos "rankings" on youtube?

    No live links on the video itself. Live links in the description are permissable. You can have a live link to other videos during your video. Here is an example.

      I sometimes wonder why cleaning crews wear white work clothes. Wouldn't it be easier on the laundry if they wore dirt colored outfits?

        To answer your question....Yes! The white suits are typically tyvek disposable spray suits. Trash your suit with grease and then throw it in the trash.

    I don't think you will see much traffic from this strategy.

    I would need more info about your product before I can suggest a better option though. Is it an e-book, online course, dropship website, physical product...
