How To Make Sure Affiliates Get A Higher Commission For An Upsell In Clickbank?

I have a simple question.

Say I am selling a clickbank product for $47 and award a 75% commission for my affiliates, and have an upsell for $67, is there a way in Clickbank to make sure that affiliates get commission rate of 75% based on the $67 upsell than the $47.

I would appreciate if anyone can let me know how to go about doing it.

Thanks

If you are promoting both products through the same account, the affiliate rate has to be the same for every product - so it will be 75% for both products.

So just to make sure that I understand what you mean, no matter whether the customers buy the $47 or the $67 product, the affiliates are automatically given 75% of the selling price. Is that right?

Yes that is correct. Also if you promoted any of your other 498 products you can have in your account besides your main two(regular and upsell) then affiliates will also get a commission off of the sale of those products but only if you promote them and they buy while the 60 day cookie is set. So you would have to calculate your profits as you will be losing 75% to affiliates in your case for other products in your account. The extra profits will be a surprise to your affiliates unless you promoted the idea on your affiliate page.

The only way pay different payout percentages in the same CB account is to use recurring billing, which allows you to set a separate commission %.

Correct. You could be selling 50 different products but as long as they are all in that same Clickbank account, they will all offer the same commission rate to affiliates. Clickbank does not allow you to set different commissions per product. If you wanted to offer a different commission rate for the second product you would need to open a second Clickbank account.

Another option is you can do what Mike Dillard does. He sells one product for say $47, then after you purchase it his site directs you the upsell for $20. Both are two different products the way he has it set up thus your affiliates will get the 75% of the original sale and then 50% of the upsell fi you choose to set it that way. Pretty good, it worked on me, the wife slapped me in the back of head to late and I ended up buying three of his products before she caught me LOL
