new site, how rank on google places

Just set up a site for my wife's Ayurvedic massage business, and added it as a business on Google Places But we're not showing up at all on Google Places - even a week after the submission, and not even way way down the list. We don't exist!

So far I've:

(a) on page optimised the Google Places entry as best I can for the title and description.
(b) Selected it under 'my maps' as a personal choice
(c) Had a few friends write reviews...

Any other options?

    Make sure you've filled in all the available spaces. Post all the vids and all the pics you're allowed to.

    Then hop over to Yahoo's version of Google places and fill out a profile there. Once again filling every single box/detail you can.

    Give it a few days and if still no joy then start hitting up some other directories:
    Online Yellow Pages such as Superpages, Yellowpages.com, Yelp, CitySearch, etc.

    Another option is to get connected with UniversalBusinessListing. They're like $30 per year and spew your information out all over.

    Btw, make sure wherever you are listed on the internet that you've included a phone number and an address. These 2 items are very important for Goog to know you & your Goog places listing is legit.
