Lets say i was looking for a domain name which matches the keyword i want to rank for (ie. "how to train your dog" ) would the search engines pick up my site if i mixed up the letters for my domain name ie "train your dog how to"? Its a wierd question but it will make it easier to find domains if it can be done like this.

thank you

This is what Market Samurai refers to as PBR (Phrase to Broad Ratio) score. It compares the number of searches people do for the phrase-matched version of a keyword to the number of searches people do for the broad-matched version of a keyword, and gives you this figure as a percentage. The lower it is, the less likely the market is actually searching for the phrase. This helps you weed out phrases of wrong word orderings.

Here's an example from their site:

    vintage electric guitars 23%
    vintage guitars electric 2%
    electric vintage guitars 1%
    electric guitars vintage 3%
    Signature

Key word or phrase in the domain name will not help if the strong competition for that phrase or keyword ...
Google has long not care for the domain name when ranking pages.
