Idea For A Newbie App?

When I started investigating all of the different IM models, I suffered from information overload. My drive was littered with hundreds of PDF and videos I had downloaded. My bookmarks were a mess with a zillion links to pages that I know I bookmarked for a good reason, but weeks later I couldn't even remember what they were about. I had pages of notes I had jotted down during web casts. Sound familiar to anyone? So I wrote myself a simple web app that enabled me to do things like: organize all the documents and media I had downloaded by tagging them. So I could tag a PDF with phrases like "seo", "twitter tips", "facebook fanpages", etc... then I could easily find all the documents that contained information on that topic. I would often find sales pages I liked and would bookmark them, but a month later the page would be gone, so I added the ability to scrape a URL, give to a description and tag it. Now I could get back to any page whenever I wanted plus it was organized along with the rest of my information. The app had a bunch of other cool features too - like a to do list. I recently showed it to a buddy and he thought it was cool and suggested I turn it into a full blown website that would allow anyone to take advantage of it. I could do this pretty easily, but wasn't sure that it was something the community would ebrace, so what better place to pose the question than this forum? any feedback would be appreciated - and please feel free to toss me any suggestions.
