Does Clickbank notify you of sales?

I've been promoting this new system that just launched and I logged in to see if I had any sales and noticed that I was using the wrong link code.

Anyway does Clickbank notify you when you get a sale anyway? Or do you have to login each time to look?

    Hi Afi,

No Clickbank doesn't notify you of sales. However, there are some steps you can take for it to notify you. It involves setting up an instant notification url in your advanced settings, but it's quite complicated to set up.

If the vendor uses something like Easyclickmate to manage their affiliate system, that does do notfications.

Don't let that be a distraction and a time-killer. Just check your stats once or twice a day, and resist the temptation to constantly do so throughout the day. It can be very distracting and an inefficient use of your time.

Yes as a vendor click will notify you of sales.

Login, Goto Account Settings , and set your "Transactional Email" email.

Clickbank will then notify you of sales, refunds, charge backs and cancellations.

As an Affiliate, then no, you have to setup a instant notification url as TheFreebieGuy has stated.

There are some paid ones out there, however, i can try and dig around to find a php script i wrote if you wish?, it'd just email me of the notifications in an ugly format, but it is instant notification =)

Not getting instant notifications can be a good thing. Makes it easier to focus on the activities that MAKE you money on the first place.

Refreshing the ransaction screen every 5 minutes is pretty distracting too. I would like something that satisfied my addiction but wasn't quite so disrupting. Perhaps there is no perfect solution.

I think we are missing a very important point here -
We all accept the fact that Clickbank does not notify its affiliate for sales...
    This is an absurd !!!
Clickbank should offer this option to its affiliate as many, smaller affiliate programs do!
an option - use it or not.

Clickbank's affiliates are its customers and therefore CB should pay a lot of attention to what they (we) say.

Bottom line: I will write an email to Clickbank customer support today to ask for this option
if many of you will do the same - it will happen

For those who think Clickbank should notify us of sales, here is why they
      don't.

      Long story short.

Years ago, they did. Then, a bunch of idiots started reporting their
sales notifications as spam to their ISP. This ultimately led to Clickbank
      having problems with THEIR ISP.

As a result, Clickbank decided that it was best if they simply didn't send
      email notifications to affiliates.

You can thank the spammers for this with their "notification of payment"
emails. Affiliates probably thought these were spam too and reported them.

Another case where spammers ruin it for the rest of us.

Anyway, that's why you don't and CAN'T get notifications from Clickbank.

I use a software solution called CB List Automator. It not only notifies you by email for every sale, it also adds the buyer to your autoresponder. You can order it through easyBiztools.com (not an affiliate link). It can be set up for unlimited CB products.

But a really nice feature is you can also turn the automated email notification off, and it will still work automatically to add to your list. When you start making a lot of Clickbank sales, the notifications can start to become rather annoying.

While part of that sounds good, the part that's adding the buyer to your autoresponder could create some legality issues for you. They're not really buying the product from you, so you would technically be spamming them this way.

I prefer sites like Amazon or CJ where they only update your sales once a day. This way, you're not tempted to spend your entire day checking your email or refreshing your earnings page. That also brings me to another point, a lot of affiliate programs besides Clickbank do not notify you when you get a sale. I've never looked through the settings to see if they offer the option or not, but I don't get notifications from Amazon or CJ for sales. In a way, that would be as silly as getting Google Adsense emails every time you get a click, LOL.

Since we're on the Clickbank sales subject, I would assume that everyone has realized that sales show up on the main page in your Clickbank account in real time but won't show up in your reports until those stats are processed.

This is not new. The buyer decides for themselves whether or not to be added to your autoresponder. Either way, you are notified of every sale by email. I have been using this program for nearly 5 years. A new software version was just released a month ago to adapt to the changes in Clickbank's IPN system.

              Yes, that's correct.

The CBListAutomator software is quite flexible - the affiliate can configure it such that the software will just deliver the bonus(es) without subscribing the buyer.

If the affiliate choose the 'auto-subscribe' option, the buyer knows about it and will have to confirm the subscription.

But if you are looking for a free tool that just notify you of affiliate sales, check this service out:

              CBWatch

There's nothing to install because it runs as as 'service' at clickbanksuccessforum.com

You just need to point the IPN url to a specific URL

              Best regards,
              Adrian

CBListAutomator is a pretty slick setup for anyone wanting to offer bonuses on affiliate promotions. Adrian knows his stuff and has made this application simple to use and very effective. I know he has a big sale going on right now that ends December 6th. It includes 3 of his best products at 70% off.

Check out my sig if you need video tutorials on how to install CBListAutomator.

I agree with everyone saying that it would be great if CB offered this, but alas we'll just have to keep checking.

However, if you have an iPhone, try out CheckCB. Free app, pretty basic but does the trick if you want to take a look at your sales stats while you're out and about. Would be absolutely spot on if it allowed you to also check hops/order impressions etc...
