How do I set up a secure download page for my 1st video product?

Hey guys,

My wife and I are going to be releasing our first product this month, but seeing as this is the 1st one, I'm not sure how to go about making our product (which is a download-able video course and ebook) available for download in a secure way. Be as descriptive as you'd like. Thanks for all the help in advance. I know we'll need to set up some sort of shopping cart too, although I'm pretty sure we're going to just use paypal to start.

Any help appreciated as this is all new to both of us.

Thanks,
Joshua

There are a number of methods, some are free, some have a nominal cost, others, cost more but also have a lot more features, it really depends on what you want to do, bare bones, setup, and download can be had at a number of ecommerce solutions, most of which will limit you to the amount of storage you want to use.

If you have your own server, I would use a digital download script, and paypal IPN, (requires a business account at paypal)

If you want to get fancy you can use RAP which is a great product but with a somewhat high learning curve, an antiquated templating system, but a fantastic back end programming and a good system for affiliate sales.

DLGuard is another nice choice but does not have much in the way of affiliate sales programming,

Over all it really depends on what you want to do and your budget.

Have you looked at eJunkie? The price is very low and they've been around for a while.

I use DLGuard. Well worth the price. Pay once and use it for all of your products. Has tons of features and great support.

DLGuard all the way. It's just fantastic and has a ton of features. Once it is installed on your server it's SO easy to use.

Love this forum (also hate it for how much time it consumes). Was just about to ask the same question. Going to release a video product in a couple months.

DLGuard. I'll definitely look into that.

    OK,

    Odd man out here.

    Like Tim, I recommend RAP.

The learning curve is not as bad as you think and once it's up and running, it's a breeze to work with.

    Thanks,
