I want to start a forum, but how will i make money out of it?

i am involved in this niche and my website is getting alot of traffic, infact the visitors started asking themselves questions in the comment section. So i thought it would be better if i had a forum where they could find all the answers for the questions they have. Nonetheless i would love this forum to be profitable in some ways. Anybody with suggestions.

    Exactly the same way your website would make a profit.

    Through:
    Lists (hint: the email address they sign up with, and when they agree to get notifications from the admin)
    Advertising
    Your own products

    By the way, if you have a beginning of a community I think creating a forum is generally a good idea as communities are powerful things that are good for you in many ways.

        There are many ways to monetize a forum. The great thing about forums is you get a consistent flow of users and traffic. This is great for ads such as adsense or as the warrior forum it's own thread.

        Many forum also have different membership options.

    humbledmarket, for a guy who has an SEO related link in his sig I'm surprised you didn't mention why forums can get a consistent flow of traffic/users... user generated content

    but yeah, that isn't about how he should make money, but rather just why forums are a good idea

    It depends on the niche of your site... I got a student board and I barely make anything out of it.. So if the site is in the money making niche then you can easily make big bling from it!
