Hi,

I'm looking for an EASY wordpress plugin that will allow me to pull down RSS feeds, without having to mess around with the wordpress code.

Please don't tell me to go to wordpress.org/com....already been there. I"m looking for a simple solution...

thanks.

wp-o-matic is a free plugin that will do what you want. All it involves is uploading the folder to your wp content/plugins folder. There is some setup but no code to deal with.

WP-O-Matic is really good but I have noticed some sites such as 'Google' have modified the feed so it can not be parsed.

There is also something called SimplePie which WP-O-Matic uses. You will have to do a little bit of research on it...

    Hi everyone,

thanks for your response. I have WP O matic. Maybe I should have said that in my original post. What I'm actually trying to do is to pull RSS feeds into a wordpress PAGE...rather than a Wordpress post...which is where WP O Matic puts the rss feed.

Sooooo....with THAT in mind, know of anything to pull rss into a Wordpress PAGE?

Get Khan's-Quick-Feeds, aka KQF. Activate the plugin and then import your feeds into the dashboard. A simple [KQF=1] places the feed in a page or a post.

allb540, did you look into KQF?

I spent some time trying to find a Plugin that would insert RSS feeds onto Pages. I came up with none.

I eventually bought the BayRSS plugin, which solved my problem (being that I wanted to use eBay RSS ads).

I have succeeded before with inserting RSS feeds onto webpages (using SimplePie), but when I tried to apply the same exact code that worked onto Wordpress, it failed.

    Hi,

Are you talking about Khanh's Content Adder? I installed the plugin but don't have a clue what the heck to do with it? all I want to do is add RSS feeds to a wordpress page. I can't figure out what the heck this is?

Someone please give me a hand.

    halcine,

Do a search for "kqf plugin for wordpress" and you'll see downloads, tutorials, videos...

It works quite well for putting RSS feeds into posts and PAGES. Also has templates to change appearance of the feed.

JP Schoeffel has an RSS Aggregator plugin called WP-RSSAggregator that works very well.

He actually has 3 plugins that integrate nicely:

    one for RSS - WP-RSSAggregator
    one for articles - WP-PosterPeriodic
one for web 2.0 posting - Socialize It Pro

They all can be automated by cron jobs

There is also something called RSS Power Plus that no one has mentioned. Then, there are the higher end tools like Content Farmer and Autoblogger Pro that post xml as well as data in other formats. They give you more control over how and what they post.

RSS is actaully a family of technologies. Most people talk about it like it's one thing and it tends to create confusion.
