Lost $96 of my $234 Clickbank affiliate check for processing!

Hello friends,

I live in india.
I got my first clickbank affiliate check last month for $234 and when the check got cleared, I received funds worth just $139.5!

When I contacted my bank (Citibank, India), they said Wells Fargo (Clickbanks bank) credited just $139.5

$96 out of 234 is ridiculous amount to lose in transaction! Has anyone experienced such a situation? I have just logged a ticket with clickbank.

Cashing foreign checks can be very expensive. You will notice a lot of times if your paying by check it will say 'Must Be Drawn on X Bank Account' since the fess to process it are very expensive and not worth it for the merchant.

The best solution in your case would be to have someone in the US cash it for you and send you the money.

What's makes you think why CB doesn't pay people by PayPal or a equivalent solution. Is there a law making them issue checks or are they just behind the times?

does clickbank pay through paypal? That is news to me!

I know them to pay through check and direct deposit....also to some countries they seem to do wiretransfer.

For me in Singapore is not a problem. Only my local bank will charge me the admin fee of SGD$14 and then another SGD$7.

So far Wells Fargo did not charge me anything.. even if they have, it is just a tiny amount.. The amount that came in to my bank account was what i calculated, after deducting the admin charge and converting to Singapore currency.

My bad, I worded that wrongly. I was wondering why CB doesn't use an online payment method instead of cumbersome methods that cost people money.
