Do You Really Believe It Is Practical!

Hey guyz,

As you all are probably aware by now, IM is a VAST field . There are a gazillion ways of earning; each with their own high points and weaknesses. Lots of business models.

There are also many variations of following the same business model. I am a strong believer in using simple yet effective methods in earning (no need for complicated stuff ).

The business model, that I am interested is probably the simplest (I think so anyways!). It goes like :
1) build a squeeze page (could be simple for a beginner!)
2) get it hosted with your own domain.
3) grab an autoresponder
4) offer a free gift on your sq page for people to give in their email adds.
5) keep sending them free info products and if possible a newsletter (while subtly recommending them products/services with your own affiliate links :p, while trying not to appear too salesy by explicitly promoting them something)
6) once, your entire series of follow up messages are ready, load them up in your autoresponder
7) the hard work is over, and all you have to do is drive traffic to your sq page, in order to
8) BUILD YOUR LIST!

Now, here is the problem with me (being relatively new). Since, I havent really applied this model, I am still cautious. It does appear unbelievable simple and straightforward. My main question is, Does it really work?.

I am looking for responses from people who have actually tried this method, and personally seen a significant increase in their income.

Oh, another question that came to my mind is, 'gurus' and almost all other IM experts advise to send your subscribers free valuable content /ecourse / newsletter (in order to avoid from seeing you as a marketer, but as a friend; and also to keep them busy, so that they dont hit the unsubscribe button). It is a very valid point though.

My only problem with that is, unless you are an expert in that particular subject matter, Where the h*ll can you get enough quality materials to send to your list and keep them occupied for a long time???

Sorry, if this message has been too long, but I desperately need someone to cleat my doubts here.

Cheers,
Ryzon

Yes it does work, very well actually! I dabble in a few different methods and this is one of them. It's sort of "simple", at least the base concept is.

They key here is your initial research into the niche. You need to find good keywords to target, buying keywords especially. Once you choose your niche and have your keywords then it's all about your freebie offer (how good it is, how well it's written…etc) and how good your auto responder series is.

I have found that the more informative your series is (and longer too) the better. It offers you more opportunity to "connect" with your list and build that relationship...as well as drop a few well timed plugs for your products in as well.

You can try several different places to get the series and free report written for you if you can’t do it yourself. Here on the WF in the Warriors for hire sections there are some good writers…start there.

Good luck, keep us posted on your results…everyone like to hear how people are doing, especially when they are trying new approaches for the first time!

It's usually the most simple things that can be the most effective. While the plan you have there is simple, if you've never made a squeeze page or done some of these things before and you are planning to take them all on yourself you'll find it will take some work. There is a difference between creating a squeeze page and creating a squeeze page that converts your niche to sign up.

Read up about PLR or Private Label Rights. Also, you can always hire out someone to create content for you, or edit the PLR.

The concept works. But you are right, the question on content is a fundamental question because you want to produce quality. For that you need to spend either time (do it yourself - research and write) or money (hire researchers and writers).

Can be done! The strategy that most people do is spend your own time while you don't have income yet, and then outsource when you start to get money rolling in.

Don't forget you need to promote the site for traffic!

    How to become an expert

Step 1. Identify the five best books about your subject.

Step 2. Read them carefully and thoroughly.

Step 3. You are now an expert.

Thx a lot guys! But is it possible to make a living out of it. The thing with me is, I am kinda broke and am trying to do it in the most economical possible way. I guess, I will have to go to my local library to gather some information.

      Why do that?

The most valuable resource in this site is mentioned right under your name - the War Room.

Use it, you've paid for it.

I think you could some it up as

    Step 1: Build the Machine
    Step 2: Feed the Machine

Simple, Works, but the trick is in the follow up. Make sure you are bonding and building relationships with the leads. Remember people opt in for the content, but stay for the character.

      Ryzon, the model works.

One thing many of the teachers of this method leave out when they say to keep sending free information is just what kind of information to send.

Too many people think that the only way they can 'prove they are experts' is to only send 100% original content.

If you were in the Internet Marketing/MMO niches, for example, you could easily sprinkle in the following types of content without compromising your 'expert status'...

      > Links to other people's blogs, videos, articles, etc. accompanied by your expert opinion of why they should check the stuff out.

      > Editorials based on popular topics in the news or on popular forums.

      > Announcements of new products that may be of interest and why they might be of interest. If you haven't actually had a look at it, say so.

      > Questions you get from subscribers, rendered suitably anonymous and used with permission.

      > Tips and tricks for accomplishing something, along with the necessary resources.

      > Use your imagination...
