What would be the easiest way to make a blog go with my domain on a hosted wordpress domain such as site.com/blog

Install WP in the /blog/ directory. That it.
    e.g. example.com/blog/

There are alternate solutions, depending what is at the root directory of your domain.
    So, what is at example.com?

Spend the 8$ and get your own domain....

Its a business not a hobby, treat it like one.

I'm assuming this is your own site. If you have cpanel, go to Fantastico and click on Wordpress.

Ask it to do a new install and then where it says "install in directory" type "blog". This will set up a the sub-directory "blog".

That's it - the installation should be done for you. Choose your username and password and make sure you include a real email address in case you forget your password.

Then you can log into your admin area (mysite.com/blog/wp-admin) and start blogging.

There is another way. Just install Wordpress in the top level domain (mysite.com) and use a mixture of posts (for the blog big) and pages. How much content do you already have on the site? You can set a static homepage and then put your blog on a page called "blog" - which will then appear in the menubar as - surprise - "blog"

The next thing you wanna do after installing wordpress is to find a theme that you like and install it, unless you're happy to stick with the default wordpress look and feel. There's a lot of high quality wordpress themes around, just search for them on google.
