Review AND blog site - who can do this?

I was wondering if it was possible to do the following:

If I want to have a site where the main page is the blog, with another page set up to have affiliate reviews - can I put multiple posts inside the review page so I can take advantage of star ratings and what not?

I ask because otherwise the page is just one long post, and the ratings and thumb's-up kind of stuff would only appear at the end - not for each product.

Is there a free theme that does this to your knowledge?

I guess I'm wondering if there is a way to add multiple posts to more than one page within one WP site.

Or, are there any suggestions for a good work-around?

This would obviously allow me have both blog posts (that is the static home page) and a tab for reviews - WITH the ability to display "share this" or a "star rating" beneath each post in the reviews.

Thanks,

Nathan

I may be confused on what you are asking, but if I get it right. You want to be able to post things on a page via WP. If I understand you correctly then I think this plug-in may do what you are looking for.

WordPress › Live Blogging « WordPress Plugins

Hope that is what you're looking for if not, then could you re-explain it.

    Hey thanks Mark.

That might just be it. I'm looking into and I think that might a great solution. I'm going to look further into of course to be sure.

I just want to have a page/tab called "blog" for instance, with updates and posts as well as a page/tab (within the same wp site) called "reviews" with multiple posts as if it were the blog page as well.

I'll let you know! Thanks for the link.

you could also install two instances of wordpres... one for .com and one for /reviews

then you would have complete freedom to customize either as you see fit

As an example, I have a site that has 3 instances of wordpress.

    eshopwiz.com - squeeze page
    eshopwiz.com/course - video course
    eshopwiz.com/blog - blog...

    Hi Nathan,
I guess you are trying to review various products on your blog and you want to have each product review its own page, right?

There are few plugins that let you add the review functionality in your posts or pages or anywhere in your blog for that matter. They will give you star ratings in the categories you define (say usability, price etc) and users can also rate if you chose to use that feature.

I settled on MyReviewPlugin, a wordpress review plugin. I use this myself with Thesis theme. There's a special going on where you can get 25% off the regular price, have a look here.

    Take care.
