I've noticed this more and more, thought I'd share a well guarded secret that I learned from one of the gurus. Roughly 80-90% of your questions about internet marketing can be answered here with minimal work, see if it works for you :-) (You can also use the search function in this forum)

Just saying... :-p

  • Thanks for such an amazing resource. Wow, that's just awesome. Now, I'll be able to figure EVERYTHING out and take over the Internet Marketing World! LOL
  • Great, just what I needed another link that is just going to collect dust in my bookmarks.

    • You could just set it to be your homepage
    • But that would require initiative, and self-reliance, and reading, and thinking. All the hard stuff that is required to build a successful business (what a coincidence). It's so much easier to come here and demand to be spoon-fed the answers. Isn't that what the WF is for?

  • I think I understand why you made this post.

Quite often, we see a lot of people coming in here asking questions that have been answered many times over in very many ways. Some of these questions seem really simple and basic to a lot of us who have been around a while.

However, simply giving a beginner a link to Google and telling them that 90% of what they need can be found there isn't always very helpful.

Google, like the rest of the web, is full of a lot of bad information. It's got a great algorithm, but it's not perfect, and there is still plenty of misinformation in the SERPs about certain topics. There is also some out-dated content still ranking at the top of the SERPs.

In order for Google to be a useful resource, the person searching has got to be able to filter out good and bad information. They need to apply some critical thinking and due diligence. If you are totally new to IM, thats going to be difficult to do.

I agree with you, a lot of people can find most of the answers to their questions using Google, but weirdly, in order to do that effectively, they have to know a bit about what they are doing and what they are searching for!

To use an extreme example, it would be like telling some one they could find all the answers to their legal issues online. They probably could, but the chances are they wouldn't be able to navigate their way round all that information, which is why there is a need for lawyers and other legal experts.

I am being a little pedantic! But I agree, it would be great if some beginners and members became more familiar with the search tools that the Internet has provided us with!

    • Exactly. Without the "time in the trenches" for someone to build up their necessary "BS filter" they can come across plenty of mis-information that can have them running in circles for days or weeks (if not longer).

An entrepreneur's most valuable resource is time.
  • I know where to find the remaining 10-20% of golden secrets too...

    It's called page #2 and page #3

    • Oh, thought its Yahoo & Bing!
    • Come on, Nick. Quit pulling my leg...

One of my SEO buddies assured me that there was no such thing as Page 2 and Page 3 - that's just a myth...

  • I think that this site is a little easier to understand.

It also gets the point across a lot better than
    your site.

Please use THIS SITE whenever you have a simple question
that you are willing to pay someone to answer.
  • People use Google?!

    :p

  • Yes you'll get answers at Google, but will they be correct? Anyone can say anything in a blog, and there is money to be made by spinning a yarn.

E.g. Those review sites where the "winning" products are the ones getting the most commission to the affiliate, not necessarily the best products.

    • Yes you can find out anything on Google, however, as we all know most of it comes at a price!
