amazon affiliate for a website of mine

ok ,

reading through this forums have already given me some more insight in things i never actually really thought about.
after reading another post , someone set a reply that made me think

i have a domain ( not in use yet ) a life without debt dot com
now following the advise frm that post i seached google and hey i found there is actually a book on amazon that has almost the same name...
then i think amazon affiliate, but god i don't know where to start on this , guess i've always been way to focussed on adsense, lol

is there anyone that has a few words of advice for me , on how to do this
i could use a few pointings in the right direction on how to build this site

    Hello....

    There are lots of great posts to get you started on amazon associates. Just do a search for "amazon" or "amazon associates" on here...Start with the 5-star threads and then as you go through the content, make a list of those areas that you're still unsure of and then ask away. Definitely spend some time on the research to give yourself an idea of how to proceed! You should have a great action plan after a little bit of research.

    Just my 2 cents... selling books through the Amazon affiliate network isn't a very good way to go unless you can sell MASSIVE amounts of them. For example, that book you're talking about is worth $4... and starting commission is 4%, meaning you'd get 16 cents each time you sell one. There's really no way you'd sell enough of that specific book to make it worth the time to build a site around it, especially considering it's a very old book.

    However, I'm sure there are some clickbank products around that niche that would earn you $40-50 per sale...
