I've been studying IM for going on 3 years now and have dabbled a bit here and there make a just a little $. I have a lot of time on my hands now and am ready to move forward and get to work on IM seriously. My first goal is 1k/mo. Any suggestions on what method I should use?

dont know what your earning levels are now. but to make some quick $$ do some micro jobs, some freelancing jobs for few hours of the day. once you gain trust you will get returning jobs form same people.

    just my thoughts..

Set up some affiliate blogs promoting clickbank products. Add some substance to your post and interlink them.

Great, so you have time, some money, and a target goal of $1,000. Those three are essential for any success online.

As someone who has yet to make some serious money online, I highly recommend you get started immediately with Affiliate Marketing.

The reason is simply because you can make a suplementary or even a main income from affiliate marketing without having your own website, your own product, your own list, etc. All by just working on it part-time.

Affiliate marketing is basically you promoting a merchants website and they give you commission on the sales you generate or the click throughs you send.

There are a number of methods that you can use to make money from affiliate marketing both on and offline.

Some methods include using your own website, a merchant's website if you don't have one, mailing lists you have built up, ebooks, reports, blogs, video blogs, forums, PPC advertising, local media advertising, and custom software.

But when I first started I used simple and free methods like:

    1. Forum marketing - if your niche is "internet marketing" then here at the Warrior Forum is where you should be 24/7, 365 days a year! Just be active, positive, and provide value in all your responses and questions. Oddly enough this will get people clicking your signature link, singing up to your opt-in page, and eventually purchasing your affiliate product.

    2. Article marketing - Just focus on submitting ONE article a day to Ezinearticles.com FIRST, wait for it to be approved, and then submit that same article (with a little rephrasing to avoid having Google think it's duplicate content, which will bring your search engine rankings lower) to goarticles and articlesbase.

    3. Blog commenting - Go on the TOP blogs in your niche and be the FIRST to comment on a blog post, making sure your comment is valuable and contributes to the post.

Just focus on these three for now and master them. Don't underestimate it's simplicity, because it just works. Be consistent and persistent. And DON'T GIVE UP!

Within a couple weeks you should have some sales or a decent number of subscribers (if you're building a list).

And so, I suggest you try out affiliate marketing, because you won't have to create your own product, your own site (if you don't want) and you can reach your $1,000 goal much faster.

    Hope this helps.

Sorry, but I have to say it. The red part quoted above is just plain bad advice, not true, never was, and won't be any time soon - which is kinda sad because your post is otherwise very helpful advice. If I were you I'd go ahead and remove that red part before other warriors read it and tear into you. I've seen that happen here and sometimes it's not pretty.

Plainly, by making this erroneous statement you are effectively leading the OP to believe that the simple and proper use of article syndication will lead to penalties that do not exist in the eyes of ANY search engine. Being as tactful as I can (considering the enormity of frustration behind this myth of duplicate content penalties), you're dead wrong.

      OK, carry on.

If you’re still struggling to finally reach your financial
independence & make a nice living from your home,
then listen... The only reason why you’re failing is
because you don’t have a good website marketing strategy.
Once you have prospects and customers attaching emotions to your products, you develop loyal customers. The next time that you’re thinking about a marketing campaign, consider how you want your customers to feel about your product.
Here are some top tips that should never be overlooked---
Who is your customer? What is he or she specifically looking for? You must know their problems or desires.
You must be in their shoes and find out what is that would make them feel better (an offer). What is your offer? Why should they buy from you? How come you’re better than the rest? Why should they trust you? Are you offering your own or someone else’s product?
How will you create an irresistible offer so they beg you to sell it to them?
Track your visitors : Find out where they come from and where on your site they go. You can even find out which exact keyword combination visitors typed into Google that lead you to get an email from your website.
For most this is the only website statistics program you will ever need.
You must research your market: Who are your main competitors?
What are they doing online? PPC, SEO, press releases,
develop their own products, do affiliate marketing or Adsense?
What are their weaknesses? Do they offer a guarantee?
Is their product really good? Do they build links constantly or not?
Create value after the sale: As marketers, it’s our job to understand
our market segment and build relationships, not dump people off at the front door of our store and walk away. Focus as much of your energy on building relationships with customers as you do prospects.

Keyword research: One of the factors in making your
website visible around the Internet is getting it on the top pages of a search engine result. Search engines determine the rankings of different websites through keyword popularity and density. Among your responsibilities as an Internet marketer is to make sure that your website is getting the traffic that it needs.
Highly-searched keywords are useful in this case, and proper research must be done to determine the highly-search keywords around the Internet. Just do the research-leave the optimization to the webmasters.
Free gifts: Do not always sell to your customers all the time. Doing this does not speak good about a good internet marketer. Whenever you create a new product makemake sure your customers receive a token gift of this new product.
Who is your favourite customer? Where do they hangout:
MySpace or YouTube? Are they freebie seekers or desperate buyers?
What forces them to buy one or another product?
Read reviews, forums, testimonials to find out as much as you can about your target market.

It is impossible to be everything to everyone, especially on a small internet advertising budget. Plan to test one or two internet marketing tools and strategies at a time. Only use those that produce desirable results.
Choose one or two popular products or services to promote and use in marketing strategy testing. If a marketing idea is not working, do not be afraid to let it go and move on to the next one. Don't waste money on ineffective advertising.
Testing landing pages, testing Adwords ads against each other
(A/B split testing) can show you some amazing results. And remember – you never know for sure until you TEST it!
There is no formula for an effective Internet marketing strategy. It depends on your individual situation. When you realize your strengths and weaknesses, you’ll be able to come up with a great marketing plan.

Excellent tips guys, and thanks for the link to that Dupe Content Myth thread Peter, that was good stuff.

Maybe I should clarify a bit, I'm not looking to make $1k this month necessarily. I'm currently unemployed and have enough money to last 3 months before I have to go searching for a part time job. I just want to use this time to set up something that will be earning me around $1k in passive/near passive income by the end of that 3 months.

I'll be sending you a PM Ken, product creation is probably a bit over my head right now but I'm always trying to learn more about things like that.

I've heard turning tricks on corners does wonders for this kind of problem.

Outside of that though, In a month, 4 hours a day, you should be able to pull 1k quite easilly if you have a tenth of that to spend. Product Creation is incredibly profitable at the moment, and email ad buys are some cheap ways of doing business easily.

Go out there and crush it.

Let me try to make this easy for you, in 2 steps:

    1) Build an affiliate website. There's simply a ton of tutorials and books here on the WF that explain how to do it, doesn't matter if it's with Clickbank, Amazon, CPA, or whatever you choose. I would say that you should use a Wordpress blog, cause it has a lot of plugins and things that make your life easier with making websites.

    2) Outsource the SEO/traffic to it. There's a small investment that you'll need to make, but at the end of the day it'll be worth it, you won't have to deal with any of it, and you will make money.

    Just my $0.02.

Create a product and sell it on Clickbank.

        You will need:

        1. Domain - Namecheap Under $10 always google the current month plus "namecheap coupon"
        2. Hosting - Hostgator - Eventually you will want reseller hosting $24.95 a month - so worth it - and very easy to add and control sites once you learn the control panel
        3. Graphic design - Warrior Forum $37 on up for complete minisites
        4. Ebook writer - Warrior Forum $197 50 pages
        5. Copywriter - Warrior Forum $47 on up
        6. Clickbank fees $49.95 for first account, $29.95 for each additional account. Get a new account for each product (trust me, it's worth it).

        on site seo
        backlinks - off site seo
guerilla marketing - your own time

This is the easiest way to make $1000 a month (in my opinion)

The first product will take the longest as you find he right people to work with and learn the ropes.

Get a formula down and start pumping out products.

        Check out cbengine for niches.

Clickbank fees? A new account for each product? Never heard of clickbank fees in my life and as far as I know they don't exist. If you've been charged fees to promote and sell via clickbank someone's been having steak dinners on your dime yo. Just sayin'.

Also, why would you find it necessary to open a new account for each product? Strange bit of advice there, would love to know the reason cuz I've a few accounts kicking around that I don't use.

Some good stuff for OP to use as a guide though, nicely broken down.

            Hello Peter,

Opening an account on Clickbank is 100% free. If you are an affiliate you will never have to pay a fee. If you want to become a vendor and sell your own product you will have to submit your product to Clcikbank for approval. Once the product is approved you must pay a $49.95 activation fee to be able to sell your product.

Once you have one product, any additional products that you sell from other accounts will only cost $29.95 to be activated. If you sell additional products from the account that already has an approved product there is no fee. You can sell something like up to 500 different products per account.....

.....but you really don't want to. Only the first product in the account will be listed in the Clickbank marketplace. It is also harder for affiliates to promote the additional products because of the way the hoplinks are set up.

You will make up the $29.95 fee your first sale most likely, and trust me you will get more sales if each of your products has it's own account.

If you are an affiliate then there is no problem promoting several products from the same account.

If you have any questions you can pm me.

            Thanks

OK gotchya. I know precious little about the vendor side of clickbank since "creating my own products" always ends up the one thing stuck on a back burner for me. I already produce music outside of IM, so I tend to leave the other product creating to the folks who have a knack for that side of things. I was aware of the charges for opening vendor accounts though.

I totally thought you were speaking only of promoting and affiliate marketing CB products, and was kinda worried maybe someone duped you to get at some of your spare cash.

  • The do product creation suggestion is starting to get annoying.... I wonder if this is why there is now a ton of crap rehashed products.

I suggest you do only product creation for something you know a lot about and feel you could teach others well.

People need to stop being so vague. While product creation is a huge earner, there's no point in doing it unless you are knowleagable in something worth teaching (which can be pretty much anything), but if the person in question has no knowledge of anything you can teach, suggesting to do product creation is dumb.

Ask them what they know, and then suggest it.

leverage. Make your time/resources work for you rather than you working harder. Work smarter not harder.
If you've been in the industry for such a long time you should be making more.

You should have a mentor who can overlook everything you're doing and check your work. You should be making more money than $1k monthly after 3 years.

I've had people make over $2k within the first week of starting IM with no experience. I don't think it matters if you haven't been putting much work into it.
Maybe it's your lead generating method, try different methods this willl help you to target a different audience too.

Another point is that sometimes people spend too much time on you tube, facebook etc they dont do work and end up wasting time. I dont know if this apploes to you, if you feel it may be affecting you then stop using them or close the chat box on fb etc
so you can get on with work and not get distracted.
Let me know how it goes, all the best

A great business module is one that is shown in a thread by LMC. He has over 200 websites that make between $4-$50 every single day. He has it down to an art but the concept can work for anyone. You'll often hear that sites and blogs can be thrown up in a few hours. The numbers game plays a big part and Kenster explains it well in his rags to riches part 2 thread in the CPA,Millionaire makers forum.

If you could build a blog/site in a day and sold one product making you $30 in a month thats $1 a day, build a blog or site everyday for 3months your close to earning $100 a day just by making $1 profit per site/blog. But the great thing about this is you could make more per blog/site. Breaking it down in to manageble chunks makes it easier to get the bigger figures.

You shouldn't over look Adsense, ebay affiliate and amazon affiliates as a source of income too.

Affiliate marketing is great, once you get the ball rolling. Many marketers struggle to get traffic and then sales after that when they first start Affiliate IM.

For more realistic Internet Work, you could create your own Advertisement Job. Basically find people who don't have the time to Market on the Internet, and Recommend your new Services to them. Tell them $150 per week, which includes posting ads, answering emails, and organizing new leads and forwarding them to management. If you can get more customers for people and those customers are putting more then $150 per week into their business, then you should have no problem obtaining them as a client.

Now all you need is several clients who admire your services and are willing to purchase into your business. You will need to learn how to post ads on Craigslist, Backpage, Etc in order perform this type of work properly.

I did this for about 6 months in the year of 2009 and was paid over $3K from just one client.

Although not for everyone, consulting with local businesses to build up their online presence can be quite profitable if you have the ability and personality. If you can get more customers for people and those customers are putting more then $150 per week into their business, then you should have no problem obtaining them as a client.
