Who Do You Use For CD Duplication?

I'm looking for the lulu.com of CD duplication.

I want POD (Print on Demand), I want it done right and I want the best price possible.

Any recommendations?

Greatly appreciated in advance.

I'd recommend SpeakerFulfillmentServices.com Very high quality and friendly staff.

However, I've heard others recommend having more than one vendor in case you run into problems with one for whatever reason. I don't have another recommendation for you, but I do know that SFS does high quality work.

    Have a great day!

      Hi Mike

I use Kunaki.com and love their service! I pay $1.95 per unit, and all orders are manufactured and shipped within 24 hours.

There are no minimums and the quality of the CDs and DVDs are excellent.

      I hope that helps!

Kunaki is super simple. There are even plugins available that will tie in with your shopping cart or ordering system.

    Thanks everyone!

I"m just curious. The CDs are 1.95 a peice at Kunaki. How much do you guys mark up your products when you convert them to physical CDs? Do you double the price. Do you add 15 bucks or what?

That all depends on your model and your testing.

My audio product sells for $89 on CD (4-CD set). I also offer it for $67 via MP3 download. This is the result of a lot of testing.

I tested MP3-only at various price points. I tested CD-only at various price points. I do best in my niche with my customers by offering both options at the prices listed above.

Your product, customers, and niche are all different than mine, so there really isn't a comparison. You'll just have to make an educated guess and follow up with testing.

The value of an information product should never be in what you can touch and feel.

One of my best selling products is called Automatic Traffic Blast and sells very well for $197, even though it costs $1.95 to produce. The value is in the information rather than the plastic.

I understand your question though as I had a real hard time pricing my first physical product.

Another option for POD duplication is Vervante.com. One of my mentoring clients orders thousands of dollars of DVDs per week and he is a huge fan of their service. They also offer print on demand manuals, booklets etc.

Kunaki works out cheaper though for retail ready single unit DVDs and CDs.

      I hope this helps!

Wait how are you guys getting multiple CD's/DVD's sent out. I thought Kunaki only did 1 CD at a time?

You can try Amazon's partner createspace.com too.

For Kunaki, you'd simply put 4 different orders in (if you sold a 4-CD product). You can order as low as 1 copy of each.

Someone mentioned an automated script to ship right from your shopping cart but always remember that you have the opportunity to put lots of other sales material in with your physical product if you do choose to ship it yourself. (Coupons, sales flyers, etc.)

    Good luck,

    - Paul

This is the best tip right here and one that I take advantage of. I also have a dvd duplicator that I use on occasion when I have a rush job or selling on Ebay

Wholesale Tape & Supply will knock off 100 DVDs for just over a buck apiece. They can package them in vinyl packs with artwork as well. I've used them and they are honest people--they started out duplicating tapes for churches. CD Duplication, CD Replication, DVD Duplication, DVD Replication Services

I have had very good luck with cdfulfillment.com / dvdfulfillment.com for set it and forget it print on demand of cds and dvds. Their price is very competitive considering quality, shipping and turnaround time.

If you have more complex needs (books, custom bundling, etc) then I recommend checking out vervante.com. Their customer service is second to none and the ability to accept returns helps balance out the pricing for some of the lower priced competitors.

kunaki.com just handles the fulfillment side of things.

You would need to have some kind of a shopping cart / processing script to automate the payment processing and fulfillment request. (we use Magento and aMember on our various sites for example)

    skippybosco,

Are you integrating aMember with Kunaki? I've only found one script that will and it's very limited.

    Thanks,

    Tim

@Tim: Hey Tim, I am.. basically you associate a kunkani product ID within your aMember product configuration. Any purchases made of that aMember product trigger an order of the Kunkani product.

I've only found one script that will and it's very limited.
What does the script you have not do that you would like it to? Perhaps I can assist.
