INTERNET MARKETING

I wrote several articles about my site. Before I submit the articles to the directories, should I post on my site first? Or It is better to submit without posting on my site. Thanks!

You should have the articles on your site first, but it doesn't really matter that much as long as your articles include links back to your site.

  Actually, here's another idea:
  
  Write an original article for your website ONLY.
  
  Rewrite the article (either manually or with due diligence in article spinning software) and submit it to the article directories.
  
  This is what I've done so I don't have "duplicate content" on my site.
  
  Now, I know there's tons of posts here about Google not punishing website owners for what seems to be duplicate content, but I like having unique articles on my website just so I look like an authority and not like I distributed my article with reckless abandon (even if I did). In some ways, I think it shows preference to people visiting your website.

  It is better to have an original article on your site and then make some changes to the article to prevent you having duplicate articles.

I recommend that you keep the articles as articles and write different content for your site using the appropriate keywords. You don't want the consumer to read an article that is published on a directory and then click the link to your site and see the same content again. Plus its better to have original work on your site for SEO and how the search engines view your site.

Some directories like ezine articles will reject the article if they find out that it's already posted elsewhere. So for ezine articles, Ryan Deiss recommends putting the articles on ezine first, then after they have been approved, you can then post them on your own site. Although the ideal is not to have any duplicate content at all by rewriting the articles.

  Like many other professional article marketers, I have about 1,000 articles on Ezine Articles (and many of them are elsewhere, too). All of them had originally been published in identical form on one of my own sites first and indexed there, prior to EZA submission. EZA welcomes, expressly solicits and specifically invites such content. They even have available a Wordpress plug-in for the benefit of people who want to post their articles on their own blog first and then submit them, in identical form, for later publication at EZA. Now, why would they make that available to their authors if they were going to reject the article for being "already posted elsewhere"? :rolleyes:

Yes, you should post the articles to your site first, wait until they are indexed and then submit them to article directories. This is what I have read over and over again on this forum and what I plan to start tomorrow. I just signed up for my first article directory account yesterday.

  As much as I love Ezine (and other article directories), if I write a great article then I want the (Google) credit for it on my site first before I send it into Ezine.
  
  Publish on your site (which you own, control and earn from) first. Then publish and syndicate.

  As long as fresh content is produced as time goes by and more back links to your site are placed in your article and back links from your articles are placed on your site. The more back links you have the merrier.

  No - and that isn't "duplicate content", anyway: it's "syndicated content". It will help you a lot to read this thread.
