Just stumbled across this little success story online, and thought I would share.

Great message and example for all those that think success is impossible to reach.

    I've used them in the past. They are no good for direct sales. You could possibly collect leads if you had an above the fold landing page offering something mind blowing.

    Some of them may also be decent for building stats.

    Overall, they weren't worth my time, but I'm sure someone can come up with a good use for them.

    traffic exchanges is like twitter for me..... worthless and overrated. People doesnt take the time to read your website and it`s the same with twitter, they do not take time to read your tweets. It`s just my 2 cents, you need targeted traffic if you want to make money but quantity plays a big advantage for this kid. Some people knows also how to make twitter profitable and the factor quantity comes in again.

      I am planning to use traffic exchanges to collect leads using an optin page. I will be buy the visitors and see what conversion rate I achieve. i will post back with my results shortly.

    The likes of Scribol, 2Leep and MGID are very different to typical traffic exchange systems. They are recommendation engines, so essentially have elements of Digg and Stumbleupon, but a stricter editorial policy so that only sites with viral type content can have their content included, and only the best of their content is featured.

    The main benefit to site owners is that you get your viral type content in front of more eyes, helping it go viral. Probably not something ppl on WF would use since I never see much talk hear about linkbait and viral content.

    To get into something like Scribol you'd need to already be able to produce individual pages of content that can attract something like at least 10,000 views.
