Potential Product Problem

Hi guys say I have a great idea to make a product that could be potentially lucrative to say more than 15 people how could I go about recruiting these people without giving my idea away.

I mean do you think someone may steal my idea if I approached them to see if they were interested?

Have any of you ever encountered this problem, if so how did you get round it?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Ste.

I have difficultiers understanding the first sentence... would that be "lucrative" for 15 people or what?

Why do you need to approach people if you have an idea?

Finally, I also used to have genial ideas - unfortunately, there was no market for them
What I mean: do the market research (i.e. see if there is a need for the product; if there are potential buyers etc.) before even think about making the product.
Just to save your time and the frustration...

I don't understand the question either. If your idea isn't potentially interesting to at least 15 people, then it isn't exactly going to be a best seller!

If you are trying to sell your product/training/membership then you have to tell your potential customers at least something about what it is/does otherwise why would anyone want to buy it/join it?

If it's affiliates you are trying to recruit, then the same thing applies.

I think he means he wants 15 JV's

Sorry that first sentance is quite misleading, I am not looking for affiliates or jv's as such, I just have a product Idea that I believe would be in demand and would make financial sense for all involved.

Although the 15 people would'nt be making money directly from the sale of the product but rather the information inside.

    It would be service based.

EDIT: It wouldn't necessarily be 15 people

        .... and mine

How are you going to sell this product to 15+ customers if you won't tell them at least something about what it is?

You need to find a top JV, if is so "lucrative" they should be able to help you out, and there is no need to be afraid of them running with your system because they are rich already.

Hi Istvan, I always read carefully the information that you kind people present because without it I would be lost.

As for your quote, I know there will be demand because there are always people here on warrior forum asking about most of what my product will actually deliver.

Believe me, I just wanted to warn you because most novice IMers fall into that same trap:
    - we get a fantastic idea
    - we create a product
    - then we wake up there is no market for it

"People asking for it" (i.e. for the info) is not really market research. Sorry.

Please, take your time and read/search this forum regarding niches, keyword research, buying keywords (vs. info seekers) and related topics.

The history is full of people with great ideas who never made a dime with their ideas...

I don't understand. You have an idea for a product and you want 15 people for what? To jv with you ....or to buy the product, or to test it?

Why not just make the product and sell it if you already know it will be in demand?

And, yes, once people get wind of a new idea, you will see all kinds of variations of it .. not sure if people would exactly steal your idea, but once the cat is out of the bag people will try to make their own version and make money from it especially if they see you having success with it. But the alternative is to never tell anyone and then you wont make money either.

    Hi Ste
you can copy right your product and register resale rights/master rights so people cant steal your idea.

Let me know how it goes

How much does copyright or a non disclosure agreement cost?

That post above re: copyright (not even able to spell it correctly!) is a complete nonsense... In most countries the moment you create something you own the copyright. Period. However, that won't stop ever anybody from stealing it - if they are determinde.

Just for the record (for both of you: OP and Mehak): you can NOT copyright/patent/protect "ideas". Only 'incarnation' of the ideas - the way it is presented.

As for NDA - Google is your friend:

I love the fact that people come here all the time and want an answer to a question without giving enough info on it to give an opinion.

First off, there is no brand new idea under the sun...if you can think of it so can millions of other people. Will it work? TRY IT is the best answer someone could give you. Don't sit here asking people what they think if you won't even share enough info on the subject that someone could make a intelligent decision and give you a good answer! So go try it and let us know if it worked.

I'm goung to give some offline work a go as recommended by John Durham so im going to tell you all what the idea was.

Basically I know a lot of people on here sell certain services on fiverr, and many of these services are things that people actually want to outsource like link building and article submission.

What my idea was is to round up those people on wf who sell services and put together a book called warrior workforce.

Basically people looking to outsource would get a good deal because they are getting warriors expert services for $5.

And the warriors themselves would also make a great profit from the people who purchase the guide - simply people would be purchasing their service this in turn would also raise the ranking of their gigs and gat them passive income from non guide buyers.

I didn't know how to go about asking those service providers to help without giving my idea away.

Hope you now understand my dilemma.
