Any Wordpress Gurus Out There?

I am a freelance writer with a Wordpress Blog that I use for samples of my

work and to get clients. It is on the regular wordpress site. I just bought web

hosting and a domain name from hostmonster.

I want to put up a free wordpress theme so I can continue my blog but have

a payment page and get search engine traffic.

This FTP shit is kicking my ass and I can't get a header to work or

anything. Is there anyone who builds websites and is a Wordpress guru on

here that can hook me up so all I have to do is continue blogging?

How much would you charge?

Please PM me. If someone needs content for their website, maybe we

could barter???

    If you have downloaded the wp script there is a readme html document this gives you detailed instructions on how to install using the 5 minute installation.

    The first thing you will need to do is create a mysql database though your hosting account. Once you have a database set up you will ned to config (change) the wp-config-sample.php. Open it using wordpad or note pad.

    Change the relevant settings ie database name, password etc to the settings for the mysql database.

    When you go to save save it as the following wp-config.php

    Upload all the files to your site using ftp. You will need to set this up in not already done so it can access your site. Some hosting accounts will allow you to upload via your control pannel i know 1 and 1 does.

    Once up loaded go to the following yoursite.com/wp-admin/install.php and follow the onscreen instructions. A password will be sent to the e-mail address you provide.

    Thats it.
