More click = less sales?

I have a consulting job for a local company that aids local landlords by listing their homes for free. The site has google ad words on most pages and generates a few hundred clicks a week. I have the task of removing the adsence and replacing the space with affiliate links.

I can either put in hard affiliate links or link to a generic landing page with several links. The customers will then need to click to another page that sells the affiliate program. If I add the extra step of the landing page will I get more or less click throughs? I am sure that the community has an intelligent answer.

If the landing pages are done right and they presell the affiliate product well you should get more sales. To be absolutely sure you must test.

It really depends. I cant tell for sure what your set up is. If the visitor is already on the site, then I wouldnt do a landing page, but try to presell them on the site. If you cant presell them on the site you need to test to see if you do better with an lp or without.

Not an easy question to answer. Definitely need to test.

I have a little different mind. I think it depends on your visitors. If your visitors are real targeted visitors (According to the methods you're using to drive traffic into the site) hmm.............. I think landing pages aren't essential.
