Hostgator.com Internal Server Error?

Is anybody else experiencing problems with Hostgator? Not only is our dedicated server down, but the Hostgator.com website is showing an Internal Server Error.

      They have been having issues with some of the older clusters for several months now.

      They are overbooked, so they restrict the access settings, and websites that were working fine, time out.

      with one of my reseller accounts I was having a downtime of over 30%, absolutely not acceptable.

      They moved that account to a new cluster, and problem solved.

    I had some sites there down earlier for a few minutes. I could still ftp in but the sites themselves showed server errors. Came back up pretty quick though.

      I've been developing on a Hostgator account all day and I haven't had any problems. Just checked the Hostgator main site and it's fine too.

    They are probably swamp with calls from FORMER angry consumers of their poor services. Yeah, I did say swamp.

    I get this too. It seems to go on for about 15 minutes.

    It is a bit worrying as it seems to happen to about 50% of my sites.

    You might be having a problem with your htaccess. If it's still doing that, I would call them and have them walk you thru what to do. If that's the problem, it's fairly simple to correct. An htcess issue will cause an internal 500 error to show up like that.
