Different Site Rankings Using Different Browsers

Just wanted to know if anyone could help me with this: When I search for one of my sites in Google using Google Chrome or Firefox, it ranks number 2 on page one for a particular keyword phrase. However, when I use Internet Explorer it is on page 7 in the first spot. Do some browsers rank sites higher?

Thanks.

I don't think your browser would make a difference. Perhaps you are logged into your Google account with one browser and not the other?

Maybe what seems to be the top ranked sites are really ads.

Or, maybe your browser cache is stale and showing an old result?

    Strange problem.

I have had similar problems in the past.

The best way to check is ... log out of any and all e-mail accounts.

If you are logged in, you will have a higher search engine ranking.

Try Explorer, try Firefox ... and for backup use a neighbor's computer or one at the library to double-check everything.

Sounds like you're on the right track with your SEO strategy.

Wishing you all the best ... Ron
