Facebook: How to Avoid being a Spamming Account

How do you keep from being listed as a spammer on facebook? Eventually someone is going to report you to facebook much the same why I do when some random super model with 7 friends (all male) friend request me. Also do you create fake FB accounts or use your personal one for your campaign? Thanks in advance.

Post useful content instead of spamming people. Make friends and talk to people. Act like a real person.

I usually schedule series of automated status updates (via hootsuite) with useful info, short & sweet free tips and links to high quality blog posts and videos. I get likes and PM's thanking me, and lots of friend requests everyday (I check their info & profile and make sure it's a real person, and not a spambot)

If you spam CPA offers and affiliate links everyone will hate you and you will end up getting reported as a spammer. never, ever dump spammy stuff in there. Schedule free webinars teaching people a few free tips, invite targeted audience to your webinars, build your list/fan page this way, and then upsell stuff to your audience. This is how everyone else is making money.

People join webinars on their own free will and sign up on your opt-in list, if you provide good content to your list, they will trust you and buy from you.

    Hey Red,

    Here are my answers:

    1. Just don't spam - don't promote anything to anyone who doesn't give you prior permission to.

    2. I use my personal name, because I want to brand MYSELF as a real PERSON (not a faceless company logo)... People do business with PEOPLE... That's what facebook is all about - connecting with REAL people, with REAL names, and REAL personalities, and REAL pictures.

    Hope I helped!

I would suggest not sending messages with your opportunity to people on facebook as well as posting your links on their walls.

For a great facebook result from marketing would come from building a large list of friends. Then when you update your mood status, you can promote your link, and people will see it and click it out of curiosity.

Looks like you want to know how to spam without getting caught. You could use Facebook for its intended purpose - communicating with people you know.

But if you're into "buying" accounts, using fake accounts, sending requests to people you don't know, etc., you're going to be nuked.

I agree with the things written here. In addition, I think your account can be a spamming account if you're allowing lots of application updates. Some applications would ask you if they can post updates on your site after using them. These are not useful items to post on their sites so better deactivate it after using the program.

Build and work from a fan page.

Keep your personal page to build name recognition.

Since many of my Offline clients are very demanding of growing their Facebook Fan Pages, I create Geo-Targeted city accounts like Reno Nevada or Los Angeles. I post interesting things about the cities including upcoming event and news. Then, very seldom, I will suggest all the friends of these personal pages to my clients Fan Pages. Works like a charm, don't really consider this spamming.
