Busy doing it - Not just talking about it - IM of course!

Hey Peeps

I have been of the forum for a few weeks and whilst I have missed u like a leg, I have really enjoyed knuckling down and getting some stuff done.

My 500 page 'Mega-Site' project in the health market is growing nicely ... and I am carving out some other very nice niche sites as well.

If you want some value from this thread as well as my cheery greeting I would say this ... don't forget to take action or TMA (Take Massive Action) otherwise you'll be all theory and no practical. Your business will not grow and you will end up whining on this forum

    Amen, brother.

Step 1: Find something that works on a small scale.
    Step 2: Eliminate time-wasting distractions.
    Step 3: TMA
Step 4: When you reach your personal limits, outsource and scale it up.

I wish I could come up with something better, but Zeus pretty much said it all.

Stick to one thing until it reaches profitability, then scale up.

Exactly! I feel like so many Warriors who haven't made any profit yet could start making money this week if they:

    - Determine a way to make money that doesn't require huge up front expenses, and that doesn't have you competing directly with huge companies. There are literally thousands of ideas on this forum, and at least some of them are actually good ideas.

    - Make a list of everything they need to do to bring the idea to fruition.

    - Spend every free moment completing the tasks on the list, or hiring freelancers at a very low cost to do it for you.

    - Make money.

That may sound like an over-simplification, but it's really not. If I weren't already working as much as I'd like to, I'm sure I could find five ideas on this forum in the next 24 hours and turn them into a profitable venture by the end of January.

Dude, doesn't it feel great to just focus and get **** done? I feel so accomplished every time I get into that mood. About to do exactly what you said and take major action over the next week to prepare for Christmas.

Yes if you want to succeed you MUST manage your time and sometimes that means leaving the social aspect behind for a bit

I actually did the same thing recently . . . Took a week off from WF and completed 3 projects (and began many more . . . dang it, lol).

Good to be back though . . . hard to leave the WF for very long

Coby, I realize that for many of us the WF is a pleasant distraction, but we definitely have to figure out how to balance work/implementation and learning/interaction (such as what we do here).

While it's tempting to spend a lot of time here, our productivity will definitely falter, as evidenced by several posters' comments here, including yours. What I do is try to set aside a certain timeframe for forum activities every day, and work on my IM stuff the rest of the day. By clearly delineating our time for various activities, it's harder to get off track!

Excellent advice. Activity is often the very simple key to success. It's amazing the number of people who get involved with IM and expect to make money by simply being a part of an affiliate business.

I've read it all over the internet but it's still true - taking action is the key to success.

Absolutely true .. think some of the blame for this lies with those 'get-rich-quick' offers that tell you for 15 minutes a day you'll make $1000000000000

          Whatever!

It is all about having a clearly defined strategy based on understanding what works and then taking action.

How do you organize the navigation for a site like that. Mine all seem to keep growing, not anywhere near that size, but the nav starts to outweigh the content at about 50 pages.

I don't expect you to display your site, but do you know of other examples around that size that have good ways of handling the navigation?

    sincerely,
