good morning all from Deutschland!

I want to buy a url that incorporates two keywords.

whey protein
eiweiß

what is a better url?

whey-protein-eiweiß.de
or
wheyproteineiweiß.de

Thanks for all your answers.

From what I've read you can use hyphens in url's and they are supposed to have the same effect as a straight url. I'm not sure if that is the case. I would go with the second option though if it's available.

If both are available, I'd pick the one WITHOUT the dashes.
Those are more convenient and look a lot more professional.

can you use a sharp s in a domain name or would you need to use a double s?

The second option definitely looks better.

According to Google Insights for Search, whey protein far outweighs:

      whey protein eiweiß

for searches in Germany. And the word "protein" far outweighs the german word "eiweiß" in searches in Germany.

I'm not sure you need the German translation. My two cents.

Interesting. I just used google insights for search from Germany and eiweiß has much higher results than whey protein.
This result tallies with keywords tool when run for Germany with the language set to German

I am wondering if I can combine both keywords in one url though?

Thanks for this. Interesting. Yes, protein is much higher but I figure I have a better chance with eiweiß, especially because there are no sites in the top rankings with the 'ß'

do you think that having both keywords in the url would work or should I stick to just one?

I honestly don't know. I've got no experience with multiple languages. If you were asking about hyphenated domains, I'd be all over that. Schwarzenegger and Queen Elizabeth in the same url is unknown territory to me.

wheyproteineiweiß.de is better. Its better and easier to explain to people offline too.
