NEWS: Google Let's You Decide The Ranking...

Check out the image attatchment to see the new features added to Google that let you move SE results up and down the results pages as well as comment on them or even delete them.

Pretty cool stuff ya'll. Certainly going to weed out the spammers.

    That's pretty cool, I guess it's the natural progression from the StumbleUpon way of ranking sites. It's actually pretty scary now I think about it - I don't want my competitors pushing me down the rankings this way!

    Obviously you can't customize the results everyone sees but I'm willing to bet that they have a rating system that tracks how many times someone pushes a particular site down which would probably result in a SE wide drop.

    Very interesting. So Google has users doing their ranking for them. Not sure whether that's a good or a bad thing from the marketer's standpoint. There are many long-time professional sites that will soon make top position if they don't already have it. This is especially true in my niche... mental health. I couldn't even begin to compete with those health sites, like National Institute of Mental Health, Suicide Prevention and others that have massive databases of expert information.

    You can be sure Google is taking notice and will rank accordingly.

    Hm. Not sure I like that.
