Wondering about Clickbank???

Do they ever shave sales? I have a ton of order form impressions today but no sales for a particular item. It's just a little weird to have nearly 25 impressions and no sales.

I'm doing some article marketing now. I've been having pretty good success since I started about 3 weeks ago but I'm wondering if CPA offers actually convert better than CB products.

There are people who swear they do, but there are people who believe all kinds of stuff.

    I don't believe it for a moment.

Their affiliate-cookie tracking is certainly known and proven to be less than 100% reliable, however, for a number of different reasons, and of course their whole idea of customer service almost defies belief and description.

But I don't think they're shaving sales, myself; no.

There's been a lot of speculation as to whether they do or not. I know it's incredibly common practice in the CPA game since leads are generated so often and payouts are competitive, but I don't think ClickBank would shave. Do they have the occasional kink in their tracking systems? I'd think so. About a year or two ago, threads about people who bought through themselves and didn't receive a sale were very common. I don't see them anymore though.

Chances are you're just having a dry-spell. They hit us all once in awhile. In the end, averages are averages, so you're due for a big day.

Also, only 25 impressions? That doesn't sound odd at all.

EDIT: Looks like I missed a question. CPA (i.e. zip submits, game downloads, dating registration, etc) is a very different game from ClickBank. They convert much better since they just have to fill out a form most of the time, but they also pay less.

      Thanks guys,

I have some experience with CPA offers but I've been away from it for a while. I didn't know how well they convert in article marketing. I guess the conversion is as good as the article. The only thing left to do is try it.

They may not be intentionally shaving sales but ... their tracking IS less than 100% on their end. I may be posting some screen shots showing missing vendor data if they do not come clean and stop sending the standard everything is fine or please supply more info.

When a tracking system is less than 100% and affiliates are not getting claim to data or missed sales how would it be anything less than shaving?

Don't freak, you may just have logged on right after someone was looking over your product and the order has not shown up yet.

I have seen this before, and the next day or two an order shows up.

It just takes time to process.
