What's an RSS Autoresponder ? Anyone use one ?

An RSS autoresponder allows you to deliver your content using RSS instead of (or as well as) by email.

It usually allows you to deliver your automated follow-up messages and also broadcasts by RSS.

I built this functionality into AutoResponse Plus some time ago.

The output it standard RSS, so your subscribers can read it using an RSS reader installed on their computer or via Yahoo etc.

I should also have said that, yes, it offers 100% deliverability.

Keep in mind that adoption of RSS is still very low in relation to the market. Also, I was going to say that if you think aweber is pricey, you're looking at it the wrong way. I find aweber to be scaled so that you should be able to easily afford any fees from them with the subscribers you're allowed at each level. Plus, I think they have the best quality service for the price. By quality I mean reliability and deliverability rates.

Now, I can't vouch for other services because I've only ever used aweber, but that's part of my reasoning. They've been around forever, they do great at what they do, and they also do RSS along with the email. In general though, don't bother trying to handle mass mailing on your own. It's much better to start with a reputable sender right out the gate.
