Well, straight off the bat, looking at his squeeze page I would definitely advise him to...

        1. Make the Headline more compelling and BIGGER
        2. Put the Opt-In form "Above the Fold', which means high enough on the page so that the visitor doesn't have to scroll down to see if there's opt-in box (this has been proven to drastically increase conversion).
        3. Have a BIG RED ARROW or ARROWS pointing to the OPT-IN form so the visitor can EASILY see where it is
        4. Put the word FREE in the headline and in the Subheading (so people IMMEDIATELY know he's not selling anything, just adding value)
        3. TEST another squeeze page with a different Headline
        2. Fix the images for the bullet points because they are not showing up in either Google Chrome or Firefox.

Do this for now, it will seriously increase his conversions.

Yea I agree, Alexa, "long, narrow" is most effective for sales pages but for squeeze pages simple, short, and to the point is what works best.

Not sure of dimensions but tell him to model Frank Kerns squeeze page:

            And Tellman Knudson's..

These are both high converting squeeze pages and one's that I model mine after.

I see what you mean, those squeeze pages look very clean, attractive and professional. when it comes to doing my own I would love to add a video but wouldn't know where to start. I'll leave that for another thread however ;-)

I'd use an orange button which says "Get Instant access/free instant access" on the opt-in form like this:

It is a better call to action button and it does boost opt-in rates. If u need to know how to do it, just ask, its very easy.

Go for a slightly simpler opt-in form, without the big dollar sign graphic on there.
As has been said, make ur form above the fold.

You may also wanna split test dropping the name field in your opt-in form and only use email. That again could boost response, and unless ur gonna use the name field ( which is kinda pointless), its better to leave it.

Also use an animated arrow pointing towards ur opt-in form. You can use this one:

thank you for the comments and suggestions, . Thank you also for the arrow, I like it and will pass it on to him. I need to write all of these points down in notepad as I myself will be building a squeeze page soon!

Don't use Awber templates. They look bad. Your site is white/blue and template is red.
Also there's too much text on your squeeze page. Squeeze page needs to be short and simple.

    Design your own opt-in box.

In Aweber, just open a basic template, delete header, download your own button, upload it and you can use it in Aweber.

This my template i have used many times. I just add product image, benefits etc.
Anyway...it's here: Get All Super Cool Products For FREE!

If you want to download it, it's here: http://thegreatpackage.com/template/template.zip

If you think you can use it...good

    All the best

Hey there, thanks heaps for the link, it will certainly help. I agree that opt in form doesn't look great, saying that you should have seen the one that was up before this one, it was even worse, pictures of flashy cars, dollar signs etc, just too gimmicky!
      Anyway thank you once more
