IM Trends for 2011. Should we worry?
The reasons are as stated:
Government shutting down sites
i.e. Wikileaks saga and the government getting together in November to shut down 80+ sites with copy write infringements taking down a couple in the mix that were legal.
Telecome adopting new fees
"The New York Times revealed that Comcast basically extorted additional fees out of Netflix partner Level 3 Communications, effectively making Level 3 pay a "toll" in order to keep streaming video content"
"a new plan by the FCC being billed as "promoting" "Net Neutrality" actually will allow ISPs to utilize differential pricing and speed throttling, effectively creating a tiered system and moving us away from an open and neutral Internet if passed next year."
and
Not adopting the new ISP standard fast enough
The possibility that we run out of 4-byte IP addresses before the new 6-byte standard kicks in leaving us incapable of creating new websites.
Are these trends something to worry about for smaller operation internet marketers?
