Amazon or Clickbank?

by lorenzmac 14 replies
Do you guys make a bigger stream of income from clickbank or amazon? I know you make a lot more per sale from clickbank but people have recently been very successful with amazon.

Which do you guys prefer to promote, clickbank or amazon products?
Do you guys think selling physical products would be less of a hassle as compared to clickbank?

I recommend products that I have used and had success with. It doesn't matter where the product is being sold or whether or not I have an affiliate status with the product. My mailing list seems to like what I have to say, so I guess it works for me. But hey, that's just me. You might have better success by copying and pasting reviews written by clickbank product creators.

You can't go wrong promoting Clickbank or Amazon....Whichever way you go, you still have to put in the work to get traffic to your site.

I personally have found much greater success with Amazon than Clickbank but you will find many others who feel the opposite. As long as you plan your work and work your plan, you can do well promoting either one.

Both are good, it really depends on how you market the affiliate product. But for me, I'd go for amazon, people are much more willing to spend with products that they can have a hold on.

THis makes sense. I am just starting out with Amazon, and I intuitively feel it may do better than clickbank. But I could be wrong. I plan to promote BOTH to my list as I build it, so I think the success rate may depend more on how well I can establish a relationship of trust with my list. If I can do that, then probably anything I recommend will be a "hit". AT least, that's what I am hoping.

It really depends on which area you want to focus on, and your preferences. There are people making six figures a year and above using both Clickbank and Amazon, so you know for a fact there that both networks can be very profitable.

I'd say that Amazon is more 'set and forget' and process/system driven than Clickbank, as physical products stick around a lot longer than digital products in general, and once you've built an Amazon product site you rarely have to touch it again. It's just a matter of building more and more of these little sites when you're promoting Amazon products. Also, you typically don't do that much in the way of list building when promoting Amazon products, unlike with Clickbank.

I really like using Clickbank and I use the tools they provide to research which products are selling well.

Currently I make more with Amazon (and AdSense), but my focus has recently shifted more towards list-building and Clickbank, and I expect to be making more from that than either of former, in the near future.

I tried, and still promote both clickbank and amazon products. It is a lot easier to sell Amazon products, I see sales of physical products almost every day, however, commission is low.. it's getting harder to convert clickbank products, but one sale makes more then 10-15 amazon sales... so it's up to you.. depending on your approach and work involved you can be equally successful with both.
