Internet Marketing Is A Mind Game People...

I've come to the conclusion that marketing online is a total mind game. Articles and sales pages are designed to push mental buttons and if you can master that craft, you'll reap the rewards big time. Keep the reader guessing until they buy.....don't give too much info. Eventually, the reader will give in if they have serious intentions on spending the money.

    Indeed.

Tell them what they need to know but don't tell them what they need to know.

Honestly, keeping the reader guessing could actually work against you.

First thing, the reader needs to discover what's in it for them immediately.

If you hold the true purpose of what they're reading for too long, you'll lose the trust of the reader when they discover the purpose, depending on they're expecting.

How your article or sales letter will benefit the reader should be presented before their attention could be lost.

There is psychology used in all forms of marketing from phallic symbols in billboards to the Don Lepre screaming "but wait, there's more".

Psychology is used in all forms of business, not to mention politics, religion, and relationships.

Bill, life is a mind game, not just Internet marketing. Those that don't learn how to play that game always end up left behind.
