A Question about Amazon Affiliate Program

Hi I was wondering, is it true that if a person clicks on one of your affiliate links and then goes and purchases another product from amazon, one you didn't advertise, you still get the commission?

also, can someone tell me how you guys write reviews of products from Amazon if you've never used the product yourself before? What info do you take from, as Amazon's product descriptions are extremely short as I see them

I've also gone straight to the manufacturer for more details or Googled when needed.
    Hope this helps,

Tina has some good advice. I've found awesome information in the customer reviews. Even highly detailed technical stuff. They are a great resource for gathering product information.

so like can someone give me an example of how you would begin writing a review to make it seem like your own? do you guys use the word "I". Also do you include the product text link numerous times through out the post or does that look spammy?

        Take a look at:

Also, search "review writing" +Amazon, either
here on this Forum or on Google.

I don't write a review that sounds like my own for Amazon products that I haven't tried. These days, you want to be careful with that as the FTC is cracking down more and more on fake reviews.

I will however, use 3rd party credibility and quote bits from the reviews. That seems to work just fine for me.

          Example:

While searching for a cellphone that would do what I want, I noticed that Carol W. said this, "xxxxxx". That certainly sounds like it will work even better than I was thinking!
