New Year's Resolution - Where Will You Be in 12 Months Time?

OK, I'm setting myself a Resolution for 2011.

This is to be focussed, have discipline, and set myself monthly tasks and targets.

Also not to be taken off course and waste time by chasing opportunities that are probably too good to be true.

I want to build on what I already know, and grow my passive income from introducing more income streams.

What about you?

Alison

Be on an island drinking pina coladas hopefully

Sounds like you have a good mindset keep that game plan....

My top 3 goals for 2011

    1. I am gonna concentrate on building my list and make this my top priority again!

    2. I am gonna continue adding great content on my blogs

    3. I am gonna make my own Internet product and get more into the product creation aspect of my business. I am really looking forward to this. There is a lot of money to be made in product creation so look for something of great quality from me before the end of next year sometime.

I plan to stick with my new venture through to it's success this time. Allison, your monthly tasks and targets is a great plan. I actually like to make weekly and daily tasks and targets as well. I make an overall plan of what I want to accomplish each week (it's more like a guideline for the week). Then, each day, I have goals written down. At the end of each day, I refine my goals in writing for the next day (making adjustments based on my progress that day). It seems tedious, but is not. It is a great way to organize yourself and keep focused on your goal.

If you want to drive from California to NY, you just have to follow the road map that you choose, keep the car full of gas, and continue to drive forward 1 mile or 20 miles per day. The important part is having the plan and driving toward your goal. Daily and weekly planning helps to keep you on track.

        Great topic!

        1. I intend to make at least $200,000 a year income from all sources, especially coaching and information products.

        2. I plan to write another eBook.

        3. I hope to have the Nieman Fellowship for writers

        Peace, love, happiness, and prosperity,
        Stephanie

    Hi Alison,

Sounds like a solid plan to me. I have spent a lot of time with my writing company which has done well, but I have neglected some of my internet marketing efforts. One of my affiliates contacted me on Thursday because he had a check to send me. I think thats enough of a reminder to keep focused.

So my resolution is quite similar to yours, stay focused and spend more time on strategies that work well to bring in passive income.

    Good luck to you.

    Antony.

P.S That´s a nice part of England you´re in, I spent a bit of time close by in Cornwall in my late teens when I first started travelling. By far the better part of the U.K.

Oi, there's naught wrong with the north-east shore, I tells ya (besides, arguably, the various dodgy accents and crazy dialect). :p

Where will I be in 12 months?

Hopefully I'll have have established a small number of successful niche-oriented Clickbank affiliate sites and good-sized, responsive mailing lists, to compliment my existing site portfolio - which at the moment predominantly comprises micro-niche AdSense and Amazon affiliate sites.

And - hopefully, at least - I'll have moved somewhere a little more pleasant and scenic than dull East Hull, and be in better spirits because of it.

Lol, I feel for ya. The closest I got was the Lake District which was a crazy few months. Good luck to you though.

My New Year's Resolution has nothing to do with finances actually. I'll focus more on environment awareness. I think this is the time to be more aware, be more conscious and be more concerned with environment.. with the place we live in. The following are just small steps to start the year right and hopefully will be able to set a good example to my colleagues in 12 months time:

    1. Plant a tree every 2 months
    2. Unplug all unused appliances
    3. Stop buying coffee drinks from stores who uses styro cups
    4. Use reusable bags when doing the grocery
    5. Plant vegetables in my own backyard
    6. Limit my shower to 5 minutes (i read somewhere that this will help gallons of water in a month)

If you want to get hardcore about this, and cut down your hot water use even more, take Navy Showers. I did it for a few months and the amount of water you save is just absurd.

2 Thing will occupy my mind in 2011.

    1) To be discipline and work hard on building a passive income

    2) To have 2 membership sites (which will be the key to my first goal) running fine without me...

Well, I'm already sitting at home drinking Bourbon since 9 am. I'm not sure where I might really go from here.

I kid of course, about not being sure where I'm going. Honestly have no clue what made me want to drink this early though.

    Goals for 2011

-Get to the point where I have either $100k in a savings account, or I've got a new house in a larger Texas City.

-Put $20k into a mutual fund to grow for a few years, or just forget completely about it.

-Have my business keep me well-fed, well traveled, and allow me to help myself into an even better spot in life.

-Fix up my car that I purchased for $500

    -Enjoy life more

-Keep my spirits up with a good few friends and spirits every so often.

LOL. I really have been drinking Bourbon (and chain-smoking) most of the day.

Helps overcome writer's block somewhat, during bouts of anxiety - albeit probably not the best/preferred solution, I grant you.

I'm currently trying out a new method of making money through affiliate marketing. I'll have a better idea if it's going to work about 2 months from now. If it does, my plan is to throw myself into it 100% and scale it up so that a year from now I am earning $20,000 a month and can resign from my day job.
It's a pipe-dream at the moment, but you gotta dream big.

I definitely plan on outsourcing a lot more and expanding my offline marketing efforts significantly, as this goes hand in hand with my commercial short sale activities.

In addition to that, I'll be focused on building more "passive" money affiliate sites where the majority of the work is done upfront, and the only way to really do this effectively is by outsourcing.

Both activities are consistent with my overarching goal of removing myself from mundane business activities as much as possible, freeing me to do more and concentrate more on high level/value activities.
