Ranking vBulletin

During the last year I observed the fact that vbulletin-based forums are very hard to rank. Harder than any other CMS-es.
I have all sitemaps setup all right.

It's much easier to rank wordpress blog with 1/10 of content vs. vbulletin forum.
During the last year I helped client to launch forum and it has 1000+ posts already + almost 1000 powerful backlinks pointing to it.

Yet it still sitting at PR0 and attracts less than 10 organic visitors a day.

It feels as if Google makes life 5x harder for vBulletin-based sites.
Anyone else observed ranking hardships with vBulletin?

    Hey MemberWing,

    You shouldn't place much emphasis on pagerank. They are basically outdated these days. Google does not place much value on the the pagerank of a site. They now focus more on high quality content. Just keep generating good content and you will gain good search engine traffic.

      I don't care about PR. I care about organic traffic.
      I keep generating good content on wordpress blog and vBulletin site together. With all other things being equal Wordpress blog attracts much more organic traffic than vBulletin site.

    I find that the forum you are on right now is often at the top of some search engines when searching for some internet marketing information.

    That is actually how I stumbled upon the WF
