In the last 4 weeks of watching and searching for income generating sites, I have noticed a HUGE increase in fraud and potential fraud.
Of course I can not be 100% it is fraud, but I have contact several different sellers, and all provided great information and proof, and all 3 (different) sellers had past sells but all within a month with no negative feedback, and each seller seemed to act with the SAME matter, such as "I need to sell fast... I can give you all the proof of income etc..."
Well shortly after the action each have gotten their flipp@ accounts banned.

Just a warning as I took extra caution, and just seemed odd they each had the same sort of push push to sell and would probably bet they all worked together.
I assume their past sales were in a dispute status which is why they did not get negative feedback and once they got several sales they disappear.

CAUTION!

Thanks for the heads up, I was just about to list a domain I've been looking to sell.

This wouldn't surprise me. Most sellers are hurting really badly right now. The economy is horrible, and sites aren't selling as well as they once were. I wouldn't be one bit surprised if some of the more dishonest sellers were stooping to new lows in order to "compete".

Yeah ... it's very hard to judge these days who is honest and who is not. Proof can be so easily faked ...

Had a guy email me out of the blue. I don't know him at all and he wanted to know what I thought of an auction. It was an obvious scam to me. Figures didn't add up at all, but unfortunately, he bought it after he asked me instead of before.

You read the forum here and elsewhere, people usually talk about culling the dead wood, getting rid of the losers, etc. If something is making money and is successful, why would anyone want to sell it?

1 in 20 might be because they need the money badly, "need a cash injection for other ventures" and so on but most of the time people just want to get rid of the ones which are not doing so good. (There is the professional sellers who create and sell sites but that is a small percentage). As a result, most of the sites on offer are a waste of time.

Actually, there are many people ... I'm one of them ... who enjoy creating the sites, getting initial traffic and revenue and then letting them go. I do not sell off bad sites to dump them on people. I've let many domains expire because I wasn't happy with the sites. I like the creative end more than the promotional end.

I agree with you, the feeling of creativity and seeing the creative work continue on... I sold some sites which I to do this day feel glad it is still ranking high and appears to be making more revenue... I do have some feeling of "maybe I should have kept it", but I have let that feeling go on.
