Hi All,
I just downloaded a bunch of PLR and wanted to create an eBook out of some of the articles. No license came with the zip file. Is it ok to put myself as the author and my blog address in the footer? I don't plan to heavily modify these articles.
Thank you

Your source's sales page, if there is such a thing should display a checklist of rights, certainly the majority of products allow rebranding and repackaging, just don't resell it with plr rights.

    Dodgy ground here.

If you didn't receive a licence file then you have no clear rights as to what you can do with the material.

I would suggest that you email the site owner and ask for clarification and useage rights.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks for the quick reply. Hmmm....nothing came with the articles, just the articles themselves. Since there is no way for me to know where they originally came from or what the license is, it is probably better that I don't use them this way.
    Again, thank you.

      Hey,

Some PLR packages that have Master Resale rights get sold around so much it's difficult to know what you got if any thing in the way of licenses.

I would contact whoever you download the files from and see if they have a a license.

Or if you can at least find the originating website or author, then you could contact them.

      Hope this helps

I would advise against using articles with no license and where you don't know the source. If you don't know where they came from, how can you be certain they are legal to use, and under what terms? I definitely wouldn't risk it.
