    1. A lead page is a page that you will use to capture emails for your list.

    2. A list is a list of emails, names, addresses, and/or phone numbers. It is just a collection of personal information. Most of the time a list is just a bunch of emails.

A "lead capture page" is designed to show important facts and leaving the reading wanting to find out more information. This is when the person reading the lead capture page can then enter in his or her name and email address into the small form on the page.

A "list" means collecting the email addresses of your potential customers.
The key to create an effective email list is to provide your subscribers with quality information.

What a lot of marketers do these days on the lead capture page is to offer them a free gift (commonly a pdf) in exchange for their name and/or email. Once they 'opt-in', they get on the list and are also given the free gift.

set up a lead page with a free offer and an opt in on it so you capture the email in your auto responder to build your list then follow up with paid offers.

    The answers above are correct.

What has been described above is usually referred to as a squeeze page in the internet marketing world, and technically what you are collecting are leads.

However, in some contexts a lead capture page could refer to something more specific. In some industries sales leads are worth their weight in gold, so a lead capture page could refer to a page designed to generate actual "leads" in the more traditional sense.

For example, you could create a page with an irresistible offer related to purchasing a house. Then, you ask them to fill in their name, contact info, income, anticipated purchase date, and target price range. This page would produce very valuable sales leads that could be sold to a real estate agency.

Same for insurance, cars, loans, etc.
