You'll need a new domain name, (unless your registrar is willing to work something out). 301 redirect your old domain to your new.

There is no "fix", as far as I know.
    Buy the other domain.

I think you really need a new domain name.

Anyway, in my case also I go for the free hosting first and free domain first before I switched to paid services.

I try the co.cc free domain and incorporate to my free webhosting sites. Try also to search that on youtube.

It's nice! co.cc free domain it's only applicable for 1 year. Beyond that you will pay there services. Just some story about my experiences.

But right now, I just have to plan for a paid hosting and domain name. Because you have the option to change some of the settings and Im not limited.

The best option is to buy a new Domain (only 10 bucks)
Don't start working on a Domain if you d'ont see
        potencial on it.

Yes, it's easy. If you've already started to build backlinks, you can also just do a "301 redirect" from the old domain to the new one to keep that link juice. Just google "how to do a 301 redirect" and you'll see it's easy.

If you haven't done any backlinking/promotion then just change domains and don't worry about it.

If you're talking about "exchanging" the domain name then I highly doubt you can do that.

I thought there is no way out for that, I suggest to have a new domain but then you need to spend for it.

You'll have to buy a new domain name, you can't "modify" an existing one! If you're really serious about picking up that slightly different domain name, I suggest that you do it right away, as each second you wait (assuming that it is still available) is another opportunity for someone else to buy it instead!

Some time back you could cancel your domain and select another but I think they've stopped that now. You'll have to work with it until it's up, or re-direct it as suggested above.
