Philip M. Parker wrote 85,000 books

Read about this on another forum:

"Philip M. Parker is the world's fastest book author, and given that he has been at it only for about five years and already has more than 85,000 books to his name, he is also probably the most prolific."

"He has patented a method to automatically produce a set of similar books from a template which is filled with data from database and internet searches. At Amazon.com, Parker is listed as the author of 85,000 books that his program created and overall he claims to have produced 200,000 different titles."

We finally found someone that works more than Steve Wagenheim.

Thanks, but I think I'll pass on trying to catch this guy.

I'd rather write something that people will actually want to read.

Are you telling me that people don't want to read "The 2007-2012 Outlook for Bathroom Toilet Brushes and Holders in Greater China"?

Sounds like a programmer, not an author.

And I'm sure his books are fascinating to read, as all machine-generated work is.

This post got me thinking tonight and I came up with a new strategy for advertising that I would like to test.

Not sure the effect it will have but it has some potential.

I was thinking... if publishing a physical book on amazon were as easy as say writing a report and creating a pdf ebook... then maybe I could get some free exposure by making the title of the book target specific keyword phrases...

Well there is a lot more to the idea but I do not want to give it all away yet.

The key is that I have a system that makes publishing physical books... even with a bonus cd or dvd attached inside the back cover as easy as publishing an ebook.

No minimum quantity, print on demand, net 30, upload the files, etc.

In addition to already having this fully integrated with my ecommerce platform so that I can deliver a physical product with any digital product, membership site, podcast, feed, email subscription etc. one of the services we integrated with for full automation also offers instant listing on Amazon.

So not only can I sell it from my own site on demand but they will also market it on Amazon and they only charge the print fee per item sold.

So I wrote out a few strategies for this... looking forward to seeing how it goes.

Oh for anyone who asks... the on demand print integrated ecommerce system is Nanacast.com

I wonder what would happen if prolific posters like myself just bottled some of our chatter up into a a couple hundred books and uploaded them and published them to amazon?

I bet it would have some advertising value beyond just the potential for book sales... if it were done right ;-)

      Damn, that's my niche exposed.

Mind you, I should have really read his book before getting into this niche: his forecast for this market is that it's going down the drain.
