Great article marketing tip
After publishing my 32nd painstaking article I think I've finally learned a valuable lesson: publish an article only on your own site until Google indexes it and get the credit for original content. Then, and only then, publish it on EZA and anywhere else.
I've asked about this several times here on the WF and always received conflicting answers. So I kept on publishing my articles everwhere at the same time.
Finally I did something different by publishing my most recent article on my site only yesterday. Then I pinged it, Dugg it and bookmarked it at several other sites to help it get indexed quickly.
The result: moved up almost 2 pages from bottom of 3rd page to top of 2nd page for a MAJOR keyword in Google overnight! On this basis I'll be on Page 1 with another article or two done the same way.
I know there are a lot of other things that can influence your SERPs but take my word for it when I say that I've published multiple articles (on EZA) and bookmarked the hell out of them many times without a result like this.
Also, I have a mature website that doesn't bounce around a lot like new ones can so that doesn't explain it.
I do have to consider what will happen when I publish on other sites because I understand that the higher ranking or authority site will get the "juice" but I'll take my chances. From now on I'm doing it this way!
