I use Sony Vegas for a lot of my work just because it's fairly inexpensive, easy to use and I've used it for quite some time. Before, I used to use Final Cut Pro but it's really overkill - you can find a lot of great tools online that are free now too.

    Hi,

You can pull together quick and great-looking slideshow-style videos with Animoto - they allow snippets of video interspersed, plus with a paid account you can have a link wherever you want them to goat the end of the video.

Also is onetruemedia - very easy. Paid account downloads will not be branded.

I also use Toufee - it can do flash (and flash banners).

Hope that helps; I am not sure what you mean by video marketing program? If you want to distribute video - I would include TubeMogul and of course Traffic Geyser (pricier).

(yes, some of the above are affiliate links but they are really great programs that I use myself).

In my experience, if you want to create a tutorial-like video that is capturing your screen, try using Camtasia.

By distributing your video to web2.0 properties, you can get it to rank in page one of google and get some natural search traffic.

The great thing about it is that you can get your video ranked page one for rather competitive keywords in very short time (I'm talking hours), all because the big G loves video so much.

It's all about distribution, title, keywords and description you use when uploading your videos.

You can also give it to your affiliates so they can use it to promote your product more effectively.

I'm using Vegas and Adobe Premiere. Those video software giants create decent videos that will surely boost your marketing scheme to a much higher level.

For screen capture, Camtasia is awesome (even if somewhat pricey at first). I've heard great things about Sony Vegas and even the smaller version of Adobe Premiere (Elements or something like that?) I personally started with good 'ol Window Movie Maker on my computer, and moved on to a halfway decent program on my new laptop.

As for getting traffic ... there's lots of factors. The title, tags, description, etc play a big part. Where & how you distribute plays a part. The content & personality plays a part. Sometimes, just getting it out there can bring in pretty impressive results (not always, but video has done pretty awesome for me... even with the ghetto equipment I use)
