Does anyone know of any resources that show you how to create a Facebook page that squeezes visitors to like the page?

Like this one.

This particular page is rotating (and presumably testing) two offers -- one gives you something for free if you like the page and one gives you a discount on a product if x number of people all agree to buy it.

Ryan definitely has some pretty advanced stuff going on. I'm just trying to find a blog post or something that shows you how to do this...

FBML; can't remember the actual function off the top of my head, but if you read through the FBML functions you'll find one that allows you to show NON-members one thing and members another.

Its built into FaceBook...

  Thanks for that guys. I've put up static fbml pages and figured it was just a function. Definitely a creative use of Facebook. I thought I remember bribing people as being against the TOS, but I guess not.

  ..only problem with this guide is that it tells you to use inline CSS; which doesn't work with IE.
  
  Best to use an external CSS file for universal compatibility.

We've created a script that does this for. The sales video doesn't mention the software because it was made before we had the script developed.

  Those are good replies, but I'm not quite there (at least without spending $67 and I'm not quite convinced that I need to do that yet).
  
  I can't figure out how to use fb:visible-to-connection as an "if" type of statement so that I can show one page on content to connections and one to non-connections...

If I can do it, then you can too!

As another poster mentioned, try and use an external CSS for all your styles as Internet Explorer 8 will not render it properly.

So is the basic idea to use:

<fb:visible-to-connection>

info you want those who like you to see

<fb:else>

info for those who don't like you

</fb:else>
</fb:visible-to-connection>

When I test this, both bits of info are showing up, but I don't know if that's cause I'm an admin...
