What Must Be In Your Landing Page For Google To Love You?

Hi,

What must be present in a website's first page for Google to see it as a good site?

(Like company's contact number and so on... not sure do all these matter)

Thanks!

I put the following on my affiliate sites:

    About Me
    Contact Us
    Terms of Service
    Privacy Policy
    Full Disclosure

They are all linked in the footer unobtrusively.

Do these matter? I'll leave it to those more familiar with Google's policies... Does it take very long to set up? No.

This is the answer you're looking for. Do this and yes, Google will love you.

...until they find a reason to ban you.

I am guessing that landing page might be for Adwords ads?

I understand you should have links to a Contact Page, Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and at least one escape link to the rest of your site.

You also want text to closely match the ad copy and keywords, some create a separate landing page for each ad group.

And yes the quality of the hosting domain might make a difference, at least some search sandboxed sites have been reported to perform badly in PPC too.

I think you are on target. The fundamentals never change. It's all about "congruence." URL, key words and sites you're back linked to must have the same topic.

If your site is about cars and your URL is happytimes.com, your keys words are not relevant or you are back linked to a bunch of medical or auction sites, don't expect much.

However, if your URL is relevant - like lotofcar.com, you're loaded to with automotive key words and you are back linked to 50 top-ranked automotive sites, then you too will zoom towards the top of Google listings.

People don't talk much about congruence, but it is essential. Random back links will help your rank, but congruent back links, regardless of your topic, will help you soar in the rankings.

    Internal linking
Directory structure, and urls with proper structure no 404.
