dlguard...anybody using it for multiple products?

Hello,

If I have the idea right, dlguard seems arranged for three setups:

1) a one-product buy now website
2) a membership website
3) some sort of dlguard shopping cart that requires you to set your website
up a certain way

I'm interested in a 4th setup:
You have your website completely coded, and you want dlguard to
process the products on your website by having it write the cart button code
and the checkout page for you. Like how e-junkie works, but with dlguard. It
seems like if you trying to sell multiple products like this, dlguard runs up against
some sort of limitations.

If anybody knows an actual, working site like this one the web, if you could
put the URL up here, I'd like to take a look at it.

        Hi Beginner_Warrior,

Yes, DLGuard can do what you're after!

Which payment processor are you using?

DLGuard will integrate with Paypal Cart, for example, where DLGuard will generate "Add To Cart" buttons that you can paste onto your website whereever you wish to use them.

Let me know which payment processor you want to use, and I'll let you know what we can do!

        cheers

          Hello Sam,

By payment processor, do you mean the payment gateway? or do you mean the merchant account.

I think you mean the payment gateway. In that case, authorize.net

Can you list any live stores out on the internet that are using your dlguard software to sell multiple products on a single website?

"A good picture is worth a thousand words."

e-junkie has a good sales page, because they have a client page where you can go to real live working websites.

Yes, that's correct - payment processor, or in your case, gateway!

Auth.net will work with DLGuard's own built in shopping cart, but yes that does use the DLGuard Cart system.

Sure, here's a couple of examples of customised DLGuard Carts in action:

Photoshop brushes, Graphics, Vector Images, Stock Images
I'm Listening Shopping Cart - Powered by DLGuard.com

Both have been customised heavily to match their own site design.

Having said that, I do have an option that'll allow you to use the DLGuard Cart links on your own pages - Tiffany Dow does this, and teaches her students to do this with DLGuard too.

If you like, if want to open a support ticket:

            DLGuard Customer Support

...and send me your website URL, I'd be happy to discuss details with you, if you wish!

            cheers

Does that mean if you use DLGuard with authorize.net, you have to use some sort of predetermined DLGuard "complete website in a box" code environment? Or can you still use your own hand-coded website with your own add-to-cart and view-cart buttons?

I feel like I'm right on the periphery of what DLGuard can and cannot do!

The easiest way is to use DLGuard's own built-in shopping cart, yet. This cart is the one that powers those two links I showed you above.

To use your own website, it is possible to do, still using the DLGuard Cart.

Basically you can copy the "Add To Cart" link from your DLGuard Cart, and paste it onto your own webpage.

That way when someone clicks on it, their product will be added to the DLGuard Cart, and then the customer returned back to your own sales page - all invisible to the customer.

Then when you're ready to checkout, send the customer to DLGuard's "Checkout" URL to view their products, and buy them.

It's a bit more advanced, but it gives you the extra flexability you need.

                Does that make sense?

                cheers

That makes sense. That brings up two questions:

1)For example, is the checkout URL on the same domain as the site, like www.world-of-golf-stuff.com, or does it go to something like www.dlguard/checkout?USER=php?etc

                  2) does this cart-workaround solution work for digital download products (with masked, expiring URL's, etc). or does the cart-workaround mean you can only sell tangible-shipped products?

    Hi vstar00,

What did you find limiting about DLGuard?

I've actually built a LOT of functionality into DLGuard (that a lot of people aren't aware of) that'll allow it a lot of power and flexability - especially for developers or those looking to do advanced setups.

But in the same way, it's also very easy to use for beginners too.

If you had any issues with it, let me know as I'm always looking for ways to improve things for the future!

    cheers

If I could only keep ONE piece of software of everything I've ever bought, it
      would be DLGuard.

That thing can do everything but make my breakfast in the morning.

Sam, I trust you're working on that one.

Thanks for your kind words, Steven! I'm glad you're enjoying it!

I've managed to get coffee making and cereal working in the DLGuard Breakfast Edition, but still working on the hot food preperation. I should have something ready shortly!

    No worries:

    1) The checkout URL is on your own website - DLGuard runs fully on your own website, so it'll be:

    http://www.world-of-golf-stuff.com/d...php?i=checkout

(something similar to that - that's not exactly it, but very similar)

    2) This is for downloadable digital products. On the download page, after purchase, DLGuard will list secure, unqiue, expiring download links for just the products the customer has purchased, one under the other.

Did you want tangible? Or just downloadable?

    cheers
