Youtube & Article Traffic - Newbie help

INTERNET MARKETING

Hi, Im just getting into this internet marketing and I was wondering if any warriors could help me out a little. Should I start doing videos on youtube or writing articles and posting them? and Also is it better to reveal your face and identity on youtube or just do powerpoints with camtasia etc.

I do youtube for linking. Driving much traffic from youtube won't happen unless you have something crazy/interesting/painful to show.

If you are serious about even attempting to make money online you should do both and then some. If you only do one (youtube or articles) then you are missing out on the other half. Good luck.

I concur. Do Videos and put on Youtube + tubemogul, pixelpipe etc and do article marketing both work.

  I agree with the group. Social media including YouTube, and articles. Try doing one video and one article each day for about 30 days. Then keep going. And have fun!

You could start both , i tell you that every day you wont have the mooth to write articles so start making some videos will be very nice to continue building your business.

  As the other people have said, do both. As far as showing your face, that's personal preference. If you feel comfortable on camera, I saw show your face. It may help to lend a more personal feel to your videos.

  I don't wanna sound like a broken record ... but yep, do them both!
  
  I started with the one I felt was a bit easier to start & more enjoyable (videos)... but quickly added in some articles after that.
  
  I didn't know anything at the time, so I just used my cheap Flip camera, recorded my ugly mug talking about the offers I was promoting and put them up. These days, I have a bit more reservation about things (trust me, I did some stupid things to get views .... haha, it worked, but I go about doing it a bit different these days).

When you do both article marketing and YouTube here is a double whammy method I now subscribe to:
Write 10 articles for 10 different keyword phrases.
Get 10 different email accounts using those keyword phrases in the email addy.
Use those accts to get 10 different YouTube accounts named those 10 different keyword phrases.
Create 10 different pages on your site optimized for each of the 10 keyword phrases and link the vids.
Link the article keyword anchor text to your corresponding video, as well as your web page.
Google loves YouTube since they own it. Therefore, G will love your site more.

Now...someone tell me how to stop all this laborious madness and automate this?!
