So before the Christmas break I want to ravage the campus' library of all it's killer marketing books for some light reading while spending the festive season with my family.

Any recommendations on what I should pick up?

Although this thread is more targeted at copywriting, the subject matter of a lot of these books tend to cross over. I would recommend reading through the thread and look for multiple recommendations.

As for straight up marketing books, I think you should start out with the NO B.S booksby Dan Kennedy (all of them are quality) and for psychology for advertising go with Ca$hverting by Drew Eric Whitman.

Without knowing your particular interest, it is really hard to recommend marketing books since they would be based on *my* interests.

That disclaimer aside, these are some I like and are oriented towards direct marketing although the information is invaluable for anyone doing any selling:

The Gary Halbert Newsletters - The Gary Halbert Letter
    The Robert Collier Letter Book
Vincent James - 12 Month Millionaire

"My Life In Advertising" and "Scientific Advertising" by Claude Hopkins.
